I've been playing guitar on and off for 30 some years but sort of started my current run upon moving to Tacoma in late '98. Checked out the live blues scene at The Swiss on a Monday night and was bit by the blues bug. I found out later that the cats I heard that night were Buck England, Jay Mabin, Michael Kinder and the late Rich Dangel. Geez, no wonder they left an impression on me. After that I decided to try blues out and got myself in a local band as a rythym guitar dude and played gigs here and there for a year or so. Along the way I dabbled with lead guitar and started singing more. One thing led to another and I eventually had my own trio which lasted for 'bout a year or so. At about the time my trio was running out of steam I met a monster guitar player by the name of Tim McGovern and together we formed the classic rock trio Knucklehead. Meeting Tim prompted me to hang up the electric guitar and learn to play bass. During this period I was asked by local country alt band The Last Chance Romeos to fill in for there sometime absent bass player and was also performing locally as a solo acoustic act.
After a few more tries at the band thing I decided to just work solo. Since then I've been a regular player at Meconi's, Guido's at The Cliff House, Salty's at Redondo, Cork! a wine bar, Wizard's Casino in Burien and various other private and public shindigs.
Hi! :-) Thanks for adding me! I've uploaded some new pictures and a live version of "Lay Them Down" from the cd release concert at the Triple Door here in Seattle last week. Enjoy! xoxo
