For over a decade, Glenn Medeiros has been singing and entertaining audiences around the world. From small beginnings on his island home of Kauai, Hawaii, to national and international success on the U.S. Mainland, Europe, and Asia, Glenn's talent as a singer, composer, and performer are without measure.
Glenn's story begins at the tender age of 10, when he helped his father entertain guests on his tour bus on the island of Kauai. In 1987, at age 15, Glenn entered a local high school talent contest (Brown Bags to Stardom), and swept away the grand prize of $500 and a chance to record a single. Glenn chose to sing a ballad off of an old George Benson album, and his smooth rendition of "Nothings Gonna Change My Love For You" became an instant smash hit. Quickly signed by Amherst Records President, Leonard Silver, Glenn subsequently released a self-titled album that brought him increased fame and recognition before he even graduated from high school.
Glenn's popularity soared. He appeared on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and traveled around the world with a popularity proven by sold-out concerts in Europe and the Orient. He later went on to record an MTV hit single, "She Ain't Worth It", with pop star, Bobby Brown. That song topped the charts at 1 for 3 weeks in a row. Glenn's hits include, "Nothings Gonna Change My Love For You", which went gold in every country released. "Long And Lasting Love", and "Lonely Won't Leave Me Alone", which made the top 10 in Europe; "Love Always Finds A Reason", with French singer, Elsa, which went platinum and was 1 for 9 weeks in France, and "Not Me", which went gold in France and double platinum in Spain, Korea and Taiwan.
For his album titled, "Sweet Island Music", Glenn worked with a Hawaii local favorite, composer and singer, Audy Kimura. Glenn's last album, titled, "Captured", was released by Amherst Records in 1999.
Glenn’s latest release, entitled, “ME” is a collection of songs, written and recorded by Glenn, which are his very personal favorites.
In the past, Glenn has also worked at the Polynesian Palace in Waikiki, with a number of famous local Hawaii talents, such as, Loyal Garner, (Hawaii's former Lady of Love), The legendary Henry Kapono, and Hawaii's favorite funnyman, Frank DeLima. These performances presented a contemporary Hawaiian nightclub show that displayed Glenn's tremendous talent and versatility.
Glenn has also performed several nights a week at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Waikiki, as well as co-hosted as a DJ for StudioRim/Wiki-Wiki-Hawaii, broadcasting to Japan from Waikiki, Hawaii.
Glenn has also worked as Music Coordinator, and later promoted to Music Supervisor for the “Baywatch Hawaii” series.
Currently, Glenn is performing on Monday and Tuesday nights at a luau show at the Hale Koa Hotel. Glenn's captivating, energetic, and dynamic performances present a multitude of talents.
Glenn is concurrently a music teacher at St. Joseph’s School in Waipahu, Hawaii, gives voice lessons, and recently obtained his Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix, Hawaii.
"You are beautiful...when you let friends have their space, when you believe, when you laugh, or are moved to tears, when you let it just roll right off your back, when you talk about your dreams, when you help a turtle across the road, when you try to do the right thing even when it comes out wrong, when you love." Glenn...Romantic love reaches out in little ways, showing attention and admiration. Romantic love remembers what pleases a woman, what excites her, and what surprises her. Its actions whisper: you are the most special person in my life." Charles Stanley
