Glen Shelton has shared the concert stage with Nashville recording artists such as Lonestar, Tracy Byrd, Leanne Womack, Randy Travis, Ricky Van Shelton, Chely Wright, "Nashville Star" winner Buddy Jewel, and"The Dukes of Hazzard’s, John Schneider. Glen has earned the respect of many fellow musicians and fans. Buddy Jewel’s band leader said, "Glen Shelton should be a headliner act in the future." The Statler Brothers’ tenor, Jimmy Fortune, said, "Glen is a ’great singer!’" The president of the Chesterfield County Fair (VA) adds, "Glen is one of the best acts ever to perform at the fair!"
Glen wrote eleven of the twelve songs on his CD, "The Best Years of My Life." A typical concert includes songs from Glen’s albums, a wide variety of positive country, a few "oldies,"and some Gospel. Glen has worked hundreds of concert dates, always with the same objective: to provide good, clean entertainment suitable for any age. He is dedicated to his fans and is extremely grateful for all of their support through the years.
Contests are not a regular part of Glen’s schedule, but he recently entered the Colgate Country Showdown (for the first time) and won first place.
Furthermore, his self-written debut single "Living Without Her" hit the IndieWorld Country Top 40 chart with artists like Joe Diffie, Darryl Worley, and Dolly Parton.
Glen also sings Gospel music at church/worship services, and has a strong passion to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through music. He desires that his ministry not bring attention to himself, but that it will glorify God. More specifically, he emphasizes the importance of commitment to Christ and the unity of the church. Glen has been working in a youth ministry for the past seven years, and has preached and sung in numerous churches.
Hey Glen! Hope you & the family have a great 4th! Just stopped by to send you some love from one ol' friend to another! Hope VA is treating you better than ever!
