Since the release of his debut album "Soulpoprocks", musical dynamo Glenton Davis has been on an accelerated journey to the top. The 23 year old has played over 40 shows to date across New York City's most prestigious venues, becoming a much lauded regular at hot spots like Crash Mansion, The Bitter End, Kenny's Castaways, The Annex, and Uncle Mike's. While growing his core following in NYC, Davis' music has branched out across the U.S. and abroad, where his single "Alone" has been on rotation on terrestrial and internet radio - even going to 1 in numerous formats. In early 2009, soulpoprocks was a featured project at MIDEM in Cannes, France, where Davis landed his first publishing deal with Munich based Globe Art Group, and a ringtone/mobile content deal soon followed. The second single from soulpoprocks, "Go Get on the Floor," is currently making its rounds on Canadian Top 40 radio. A dance remix of the single has been released in the country and is slated for summer 2009 release in the U.S. Davis is also in the studio working on his sophomore album. When asked what he thinks of the new momentum building in his world, Davis responds "This is what I have always wanted for the music. SOUL.POP makes me so happy and empowered, like I can do anything. When I can share that with the world, when others can feel the same way I do because of a story or a feeling that found a home in SOUL.POP, is when I understand that I am truly blessed".
