About me: The Network is an Ayahuasca cult in the novel The Big God Network.
"The Big God Network reveals a unique alternative vision of the future, with richly portrayed characters and well thought out scenarios that are both creative and intelligent....abounds with references to many different spiritual and religious traditions." --Gwendolyn Toynton (Primordial Traditions)
"Finally a new satirical post-cyberpunk SF voice with elements of William Gibson, Neal Stephenson and the likes but with the added dimensions of Tom Robbins with entheogenic AND spiritual elements that this genre sadly lacks." --Grant Garden, Amazon U.K.
“There is more.” Antonio smiled. He told them about the Network and the experiments with the Channel in the Amazon. “Afterwards, when I described Luz Viva to the elders, the idea of an alien consciousness entering a system and residing there, they gave me a funny look...They said they were certain that what I was talking about had visited before, and on certain occasions it had entered their altered states of awareness. They called it the greater realm, the meeting of earth, mind and sky. This had been happening for generations, as long as ayahuasca had been taken by tribal shamans in the Amazon. Perhaps for thousands of years.”

The Glimmer Fields is an ayahuasca society founded by Antonio da Silva. The group travels to the Amazon rain forest to partake of ayahuasca rituals with the Network, a mystical religious sect led by a shaman named Manuel Reis. The Network uses the Amazonian vine ayahuasca as a sacrament and seeks transcendental consciousness. They ultimately play a role in Offworld guru Baba Ed's quest to contact extraterrestrial intelligences via the Channel.

Ayahuasca is a wondrous bridge builder of inter-dimensional self-realization. What you have written here is very accurate, very true... Thank you for helping to raise awareness of this shamanic blessing from the Earth.
All the world does yage, And all the men and women? Merely yagers; They have their vines and their ayahuasca, And one shaman in his time smokes many stocks.
