Global Development Matters is campaign by the Center for Global Development to encourage US citizens and leaders to examine how rich world policies affect poverty and development around the world.

Global poverty is an urgent issue!

If America takes the lead in alleviating global poverty around the world we will not only help those in need--we will help ourselves, too. It will make our economy healthier and improve our national security.

In early October I wrote one of my latest songs called, “Wall Street Bail Out Blues.” Within four days of writing it, a video crew captured me playing it on the street at Seattle’s Pike Place Market and posted their video on YouTube. That video has now reached the attention of a writer for The Wall Street Journal who is writing an article about those who have written songs about our tough economic times. His article will be published this week and I’m excited to read it.

Who knows where this might lead? Call me an optimist but I have a feeling that this could mean that a few more seconds of that elusive fifteen minutes of fame might be coming my way.

It ain’t the cover of the Rolling Stone but it’s not every day that a writer from a major worldwide news outlet seeks me out to talk to me about my songwriting. That’s a huge validation of my efforts at staying true to my vision. I must be doing something right.

Follow your dreams.

Orphans and Orphanages

African Orphanages, European Orphanages, Asian Orphanages

Holiday greetings from the hearts of the African orphans to your heart. How overwhelmed the orphans would be if they could see for themselves the bounty that most of us take for granted.
How overwhelmed we would be if we had to live for one day in the extreme poverty on the streets of the cities and villages in Africa!

Orphans who are blessed to have been taken into an orphanage have been given a gift from someone who decided to sponsor an orphan and share their plenty with an orphan child who had nothing.

Sponsor an orphan that is suffering because of poverty and enjoy a real Holiday experience! Feed the children and you will be filled with the joy of providing comfort and hope to one who has known little of either during their brief lives.
Blessings to you on behalf of the orphanages of the world and Hearth to Hearth Ministries' orphans and orphanages.

WOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO
Its a New Year and it has been a huge
blessings to be added to your list of
Friends.

Thanks so much for the add and
I pray you have a wonderful and blessed
Saturday, and weekend in the Lord. I also
pray that 2008 will be a time of many blessings
from our Creator and much love is bestowed
upon you and your family this year.

2007 Was an awesome year with lots of trails
but yet also lots of amazing times in ministry,
I pray that 2008 will be larger and even more
of an adventure for Touch Ministries, but also
you as well.

I pray that God will place in your heart a
burning desire to serve him faithfully, to
dig deep into His word as you grow stronger
each day growing closer to our Lord each day.
I pray that God will lift you up to be a mouth
piece for Him, sharing of his great Love, Passion
and Grace is has for everyone.

Looking over the past 16 years in ministry,
I stand amazed at everything God has allowed me
to be see and to be apart of. The awesome people
that God has allowed my path to cross with. Going
into so many countries preaching and teaching the
Word of God and seeing lives changed before
my very eyes.

I look forward to all New Journeys God has to offer
to me and you, and everyone else that is willing to
stand up and be counted as a messenger for Him, Amen.

Thank you so much for your time and I pray you have
a wonderful and blessed day in the Lord. I am in Athens Greece and then to Paris, I covet your prayers.

Peace in our Savior Jesus Christ

STOP SHARK FINNING

Jun 27 2008 1:46 PM

I just wanted to say thank you for caring about sharks. With the help of people like you we can make 2008 a better year for sharks.

"Shark finning" is when fishermen cut off the fins of the shark and throw the live animal back into the ocean in order to save space on the boat. The shark drowns or bleeds to death on the ocean floor. Shark fins can sell for over $300 per pound due to the demand for shark fin soup, an Asian "delicacy".
Some species of shark populations have plumetted by up to 99% in the last 20 years and are in grave danger of becoming extinct, due mainly to the practice of finning.

HERE ARE 6 THINGS YOU DO TO HELP STOP SHARK FINNING:

1. Don't eat shark fin soup! Don't eat in restaurants that serve it. Send us the names and addresses of restaurants that serve shark fin soup so we can publish the data and people can request that they stop serving it.

2.
Support organisations that are fighting to save marine wildlife such as Sea Shepherd and Wild Aid.

3.
Visit StopSharkFinning. net and take part in the campaigns. Post the banner for StopSharkFinning. net on your page or website.

4. Put my profile in your Top Friends! Or even better, create your own profile.

5.
Buy a Stop Shark Finning T-shirt and help raise awareness (all profits go to Sea Shepherd).

6.
Go shark diving! The more money that can made from seeing sharks in the wild, the more incentive there is for commu
