.. A charismatic frontman, a groovy bass-player, a energetic drummer and a guitar player who takes you to another level and a higher atmosphere with his riffs.....those are the ingredients of the highly acclaimed Dutch band No Regrets. Inspired by great bands in the rock scene, No Regrets began their musical journey in 2004. The chemistry, on and off stage, their energy and their love for music is what fuels a passion that is evident in and around the band. Reminiscent of the charisma and passion of U2 and Pearl Jam, No Regrets is truly a band not to be missed live. In every performance their songs and music hold the audience in the palm of their hands! No Regrets is willing to travel everywhere, to venues big and small so that everyone can hear their songs. The sound varies from mysterious intertwined with sadness and emotion into positive, feel good, upbeat songs that weave a tapestry of raw emotion and hope. Their lyrics are personal, their songs are powerful and the message is clear. They aren't afraid to describe life experiences, good and bad, in their music with a focus on people relating to their songs and their shows. No Regrets recorded their first demo in the summer of 2005. The demo was well received and was hailed by critics and touted as their "brilliant debut cd". Songs such as "She Knows" and "Jealousy" gave the band a promising status. No Regrets recorded a new demo in 2006. Songs such as "Trapped", "Believe" and "Contemplating" again brought praise from critics and fans. Launching a site on MySpace in 2007 gave the band a boost and an opportunity to share their music and passion all over the world. They began gaining a new respect amongst their musical peers as well as new fans. Though still unsigned, 2008 opened new doors for No Regrets and for two of its members. The band recently recorded a much anticipated new ep and they are getting local and international recognition and reviews in magazines, newspapers, on radio and TV. Not only is No Regrets on the rise, two of its members are too. Though very much a part of the band, lead singer Nikos Frangiskatos & guitar player Martijn Wit have been working on the "Nikos, singer-songwriter" project. Nikos always knew music was what he was meant to do but he wanted to focus on the songs as a singer songwriter and see what would happen. The result was a musical collaboration of this dynamic duo; a blend of unique, soulful melodies and acoustic, rock driven sounds thanks to the songwriting & soothing vocals of Nikos and the brilliant musicianship and guitar work of Martijn. They recorded & released their first cd, aptly titled Life. The songs are personal messages of peace, life, love and humanity. Gaining fans and praise from all parts of the globe, Nikos and No Regrets remain humble, passionate about their music & their families and they are content to do what they do best, play music to anyone who will listen hoping to make a difference. Nikos feels music can change the world and he wants to do his part by speaking up with his songs. He plans to keep on doing just that. He says, "Together we can make a change." Currently, plans for a US tour are in the works, they are slated to release their ep and Nikos & No Regrets have been invited to play the highly anticipated Global Peace Benefit Concert in Philadelphia PA, USA, in June 2009. ..

Out of the Blue 320

Michael Deneau lead vocals and rhythm guitar: He picked up the guitar at age five and has been playing ever since, He has been writing and performing his own songs for many years, His lead vocals are reminiscent of Clapton; his early influences were Elvis, Willie Nelson, Santana and Led Zeppelin to name only a few. His passion for music only slightly outweighs his versatility and sheer talent. He composed the melodies and wrote the lyrics for the debut self titled release “Out of the Blue” Then the Band improved them…

Bass player Don DeGroft, who was born and raised in Pittsburgh, California, and began playing guitar in his twenties. Later on, he switched to bass guitar as a result of sibling pressure and was influenced by such blues greats as Ray Charles and others. Don has played with Mike for several years, and is one of the most talented bass players in the north state.

Drummer Jimmy Pryor influences include Stewart Copeland and The Dave Mathews Band just to name a couple. He has melded effortlessly with this band, lending his own talent, flavor and input for completion and balance.

Ruben Lopez is the lead guitar player, and is one of the hottest lead guitar players in Northern California. He has Santana like style that is filled with rich soul and feeling along with blazing speed and accuracy in each and every note. He attended the Boston Institute of Music for several years before moving to Mount Shasta and playing with the band.

Out of the blue recently wrote and recorded an adaptation from an A cappella song written by Willie Nelson called “A peaceful Solution”. The song itself explores the harsh landscape of war through lyrics and the solo by Ruben Lopez is quite moving. The band Has released this song and is available for purchase on their myspace page now! Their debut self titled release “Out of the Blue” will be available on itunes stores including:

Rhapsody, Napster, Groupie tunes and Amazon MP3 in the early part of 2008.

Out of the Blue has made a pledge to the I.A.V.A.(Iraq Afghanistan veterans of America)To donate the proceeds they receive from the mp3 sale of “A peaceful Solution” as a gesture of appreciation to our brave Men and Women who serve our Nation.

Soul Bomb 320

Soul Bomb is a hard rocking 4-member project from Gatineau, Canada that creates a strong and unique blend of heavy Electronica infused Rock. The members are Ian Bouchard (vocals, lead guitar), Math Menard (bass, back vocals), Jack MacGregor (drums, back vocals) and Paul Lafrenière a.k.a Laffy (lead guitar)

The band Soul Bomb, first came alive in January 2006 when 3 friends got together to create a unique sounding project. Math Menard (bass, back vocals) and former drummer, S.B liked some of Ian's pre-recorded compositions so much that the band decided to re-work and re-record the tracks using a different approach. Two new songs “Broken Down Angel" and "Got To Get Away" were also created out of inspiration and recorded.

A year later, 10 songs were recorded, an album was ready to be launched and venues were waiting to be rocked!

In October 2007, after former drummer S.B was dismissed from the band, Jack MacGregor became the band’s new drummer. Also, in January 2008, Laffy joined Soul Bomb to become a permanent member.

The band's dream is to tour the world, play music and perform for the rest of their lives.

MELBA MOORE

"I'm Still here," written and produced by Shirley Murdock and her husband Dale Degrot, and several top notch songwriters promises to be worth the 10 year wait, and an awesome musical testimony of her trials and triumphant return to the elite inner circle of the artistic elements of this universe.

"Sweet Songs of the Soul," her two act one-woman play with music has been touted by critics as "Brilliant," "Authentic," "Inspiring," "Poignant," as well as proof that not only can she sing anything from "Gospel" to "Opera," but that she is absolutely gifted as a storyteller; literally mesmerizing her audiences!

She began her career in the ground breaking musical "Hair," where she originated the role of Dionne. During her 18 months in the show, she eventually replaced Dianne Keaton; becoming the first black actress to replace a white actress is a lead role on Broadway.

Her credits include "The Melba Moore / Clifton Davis Show," the mini-series "Ellis Island," R & B and POP hits "This Is It," "You Stepped Into My Life," and her Grammy nominated signature "song, "Lean On Me."

Directly on the heels of "Hair," came the role of Lutiebelle Gussiemae Jenkins, the innocent southern domestic who falls in love with a fast-talking preacher, in the long running musical, "Purlie," the role which launched her successful TV and recording career. Her show-stopping performance in "Purlie," won Melba the Tony Award for Best Supporting Actress In A Musical, again making her the first black actress to do so.

In 1996 history repeated itself the third time when Melba took over the role of "Fantine" in the Broadway musical "Les Miserables." She was the first Black actress to step into the leading role in that milestone Broadway musical.Ms. Moore is deeply spiritual, seeking daily wisdom from the Bible. She is an ardent advocate for the rights of children resulting in her "Melba Moore Foundation for Abused & Neglected Children."

This multifaceted artist / philanthropist is always reaching deeper, pressing harder, ever challenging herself; keeping her audience on the edge of their seats, knowing that whatever happens next will be at least, as exciting as what happened before.

Miracles And Birdbaths

The wind blows for us; let's let it!
Let's take everything we can't think of
Let's direct it straight into the pure absolute wind.

Let's a hug a tree like a child hugs their father.
Let's feel the heartbeat of the earth.
Let's believe in miracles and birdbaths
As love believes in the absolute purity of wonder.

Let's love each other!
Let's listen for God and his easy silence,
So we can enjoy it.
Let's understand the people and their mystic violence,
So we can avoid it.

Let's smell flowers!
Flowers are a miracle of love
And we are miracles of God.
So let's smell flowers and give them to God.

Let's know each other, let's help the little ones.
Let the little ones sleep outside with you.
Let the little ones ponder themselves to heaven.
Let the little ones love you till they feel free.
Let the little light shine and skip and play.

The sun shines for us,
Go outside, smile, figure it out.
If it feels overwhelming
Have the wind blow away your doubt.

Thanks to Delalunas (JV) for the following.
Psyche's Mirror

Walking through the streets of my mind, the atmosphere swirled around me, encompassing all sides and encircling its own sequence. Landscapes shifted from
cities and concrete, to planets and oceans - swiftly and slowly. Sounds traveled so frequently that all became silent and suddenly I stood still, in amazement and awe.

All that existed with me continued on paths of motion - people and places, men and women, children, creatures and creations - angels and demons, battles and birthdays - all traveling in various linear-like directions.

Yet there before me, twirling in one place, in one moment, round and round - you danced in peace.

Your presence, so brilliant, caused me to squint my eyes in blinding radiance. Vaguely, through your beams - penetrating into the windows of my temple - I witnessed you weave a way toward me, in flashes - through darkness, illumination and mystery.

Now, as if we are the fire of a candle's flame, you and I ablaze tranquil and bright in the center, with blissful combustion and incessant infernos flowing around us, through us - rising and flickering - breathing in and out the oxygen of life.

Filling discernment with the essence of your being, I feel your hands gently embrace my face.

You whisper unhurriedly, "When a shadow is observed within, remember - your eyes must be open to be filled with light."

My eyes open wide - locked into your divine gaze.

You wrap your presence around me and quietly sing:

"For you, I will be by your side - through turmoil and God's soil - through the opaque and obscure.

"For you, I will share knowledge taught not in schools, but in the lines and crevices of your being.

"For you, I will build shields, and also break them.

"For you, I will turn away from everything - to embrace all that is.

"For you, I will be a sound beyond the creation of music - one that will sing to you all that exists beyond love, lovers and beloved …

"For you, I will sow seeds - and when I send rains, know that it is only to water our garden; so that it may mature through a veil above and below - and continue to grow freely every which way there is.

"For you, I will step out of every character in our story - so that you can enter each life and feel whole - so that you may too feel the wholeness of emptiness, the non-existence of existence and all vice versa."

"There will be men that bow to one another - And though many men bow before me - I will be on my knees, bowing to beings of a countless and indefinable existence; I will bow to each and every, together. I will bow to you.

"I will travel a thousand journeys, again and again - beginning at the destination and embarking backwards through time, until the next age I choose to remain, it will be awake with you there by my side - where you too can see clearly who I am.

"I will fly through the air and lower my wings to tread the waters which you drown.

"I will rise to the skies and fall, over and over, like a feather swaying in a moment still, to walk on the land your heart beats on.

"And when I see you, in the mirror before my eyes - with mind, body and soul -

Blink with me, feel the eternal bliss of this conscious moment, here and now … "

"Every breath we take, every step we make, can be filled with peace, joy, and serenity. We need only to be awake, alive in the present moment."
-- Thich Nhat Hanh (b. 1926)
"We often think of peace as the absence of war; that if the powerful countries would reduce their arsenals, we could have peace. But if we look deeply into the weapons, we see our own minds - our prejudices, fears, and ignorance. Even if we transported all the bombs to the moon, the roots of war and the reasons for bombs would still be here, in our hearts and minds, and sooner or later we would make new bombs. Seek to become more aware of what causes anger and separation, and what overcomes them. Root out the violence in your life, and learn to live compassionately and mindfully."
-- Thich Nhat Hanh (b. 1926)

Second, were we truly men of judgment... Third, were we truly men of integrity... Finally, were we truly men of dedication??"

"So, I think that?s the centerpiece of morality: Don?t lie. But to do that, you have to go a step further and find out what the truth is. You know, it?s easy to say, ?I?ll never tell a lie.? But if you say, ?I?m going to speak the truth,? you?re going to have to work damn hard to find out what the truth is. The next thing is just plain, old, simple kindness: to other people, to your family. Love for other people. I think that?s another very important part of morality, being genuinely compassionate and concerned about the feelings and well being of other people, especially those that depend on you directly."

"LIVE THE DREAM"
JUNE. 2009 in Philadelphia, PA USA
GLOBAL PEACE CONCERT
A benefit concert "of the people, by the people, for the people."

Venue 3 640

Global Peace Concert Inc. is a non-profit Florida corporation with offices in Indiana, Maryland and Pennsylvania. We are comprised of every day folks who combined talents and passions to make a difference, not just globally but locally. All officers and directors are volunteers and do not receive any monetary compensation for their work.

Global Peace Concert Inc. believes music is the universal language and through music peace and harmony can bring unity and change. We believe that peace begins within and each person can do their part to make a world of difference and live the dream. What began as a concert to promote peace has evolved into more than a concert, it's a mission to evoke change and encourage hope that together we can inspire peace, love and unity.

The Mission of the Global Peace Concert is to produce, promote and support worldwide events, concerts and festivals that champion and nourish basic human rights, nonviolence, world peace, animal welfare and environmental awareness. We hold as our creed: the fostering of mutual respect and compassion for all races, religions, cultures and peoples in our global community.

Live the dream

The Global Peace Concert is a benefit concert which will include a week of fun filled peace related family friendly events. All events will be held in Philadelphia, PA. in June of 2009.

The week will kick off with a 2 day Global Peace Conference that will feature world renown peace Leaders.

On Wednesday we are destined to make the Guinness Book of World Records with the largest drum circle ever assembled. This will be followed by our Sponsor Gala Dinner on Thursday.

The actual Global Peace benefit concert will be a 3 day Friday, Saturday and Sunday event. The three days will be a tapestry of non stop music on three (3) stages for the entire family. Imagine tens of thousands of concert goers uniting for peace in the "City of Brotherly Love."

The concert will start on Friday at 12 noon with a special rendition of the National Anthem by a surprise artist. Remember Jimmy Hendrix rendition of the U.S. National Anthem at Woodstock? We promise you will be in awe after the opening act. This will be followed by a 9 hour concert.

On Saturday the concert will be an 11 hour concert covering numerous genres.

Sunday we will have 11 hours of continuous music followed by the most spectacular grand finale that you have ever seen and will be talked about for years. With the expectation of attracting over 120,000 peacemakers, this momentous concert will be simulcast around the world being viewed by millions via live or delayed telecast.

bonz 640

Within the concert grounds for the 3 day concert, we will have an Arts and Crafts Peace Village which will exhibit and sell works from world renowned artists, as well as local artists which are US based. In addition, there will be a wide variety of enticing flavors with exotic ingredients of global foods and beverages. Rock climbing walls, as well as various other fun family activities will also be featured all throughout the concert grounds.

During the entire week we will have a separately located, self contained Children's Peace Village. The Children Peace Village will be open to the public (no entrance fee) and will feature children's related peace activities, entertainment, rides, booths, food and beverages.

One of the goals of the Global Peace Concert is to be as environmentally friendly as possible and will be using recyclable materials whenever possible.

The Global Peace Concert will be building in Philadelphia a home/wing to an existing woman and children's abuse 501c 3 (Charity) Organization. We will also be supporting national and global organizations that nourish basic human rights, nonviolence, world peace, Animal welfare and environmental awareness.

The Global Peace Concert will is also making available approximately 1000 tickets at no charge to the underprivileged, handicapped and abused population.

With the unselfish support of hundreds of volunteers, musicians, artists and celebrities, we are creating an example and a commitment toward world peace and the raising of global consciousness for human rights for all the people of the world.

PEACE FOR KIDS BY BOOGIE BALAGAN

LAMENTATION WALLOO

When i was a boy
I was dreaming of a land
A Promised land for everyone
When i was a kid
I was diggin n’ diggin
Across the border line
I was sawing the seeds of time
Sun flowers, avatiah...feeling fine

My homeboy Ali was my buddy
But he was playing by the other side...

So we were climing up those mountains
Flyin’ high as eagles do...
N’ meanwhile
heads were banging
On the lamentation walloo

When i was a toy
I was praying with the gun
I didn’t know how to read
between the lines
When i was a toy
I was bleeding n’bleedin
It was a sign of spine
I was layin’ on my home grown sorrow
A kind of bleeding graps of wine
My homeboy Ali was my best ennemy
But he was burried by the other side...
(Azriel : ps 9 the Walloo Book)
