About me: Global Youth is Lets Go Global's exciting new youth media project. There are several different projects to choose from and a lot more besides. So what are you waiting for!!
After a busy summer we are now recruiting more young people for our main project GTV. See below for more details.
*G TV*
Develop and broadcast your own TV show online, showcase the stuff that YOU want!
Research, create, animate, record, edit, present, direct, operate, it's up to you.
Workshops every Tuesday, from 4-6pm & alternate Saturdays 1-4pm with monthly broadcasts.
*Underground Sounds*
During October 2007, in collaboration with Gorse Hill Studios young people will be creating innovative music videos to go with their own original tracks. Watch out for the finished videos coming soon!
*Also open to young people who take part in the projects:*
*Youth Board*
Have an input into how the projects are run. Make decisions about what work Lets Go Global do with young people in YOUR area. Meeting dates and times to be confirmed.
*Bursary Scheme*
Awards of up to £500 are available to young people on the Global Youth project to support them to develop and deliver their own creative media projects. Meeting dates and times to be confirmed
All activities will take place at Lets Go Global, 3-4 Malvern Row, Old Trafford, Manchester, M15 4FD.
*Projects are free and open to young people aged 13-19 from across Trafford and Manchester. Priority will be given to those young people who live in Old Trafford, Gorse Hill, Stretford, Hulme, Moss Side or Whalley Range*

*Shutter Effect*
From Mon 30th July - Fri 10th Aug 2007 young people from Old Trafford and surrounding areas worked with Dreph & TJ from Spearfish to design and create original graphic artwork for the front of our shutters. Watch the pictures below to see the work in progress and the fantastic final designs.
The young people also filmed a documentary about the project which will be available here very soon.
*Zen Garden*
From Mon 13th - Fri 17th Aug 2007 young people from Old Trafford and surrounding areas worked with Pat Thornhill from Groundwork to come up with concepts and design for a chilled out 'ZEN' garden at the back of Lets Go Global.
The workshops and designs can be seen below and we will keep you updated on the development of the garden over the coming months.
