Glo was opened in September 2006, originally as an urban gastro bar. It won 'BEST BAR' at the 'METRO FOOD & DRINK AWARDS' in 2006 along with a whole string of other nominations including 'WELSH BRAND OF THE YEAR 2007'.

Since its opening, the original concept has changed dramatically and now serves its lovely public as a predominantly music and drinks venue. At Glo we love offering you something different from everyone else, and we go to great lengths to experiment with everything from our music policy right through to our drinks and cocktails - just to keep you happy and entertained. We've even changed the venue layout on a regular basis to keep in touch with our constant search for new ideas.



Over the years we have played host to an array of musical talent and remain one of the only venues in Cardiff to consistently bring headline artists, some of which have included:
