Hey all
It's weird ya know? Life. Contemplating how everything can fall apart in such a short span......what a waste of time.
Ever notice that nothing in life is ever worth the amounts of time we devote to it? You sleep, eat, work, struggle, live and love. But in the end we all die. Death is the ultimate struggle. Can't win. Sooner or later we all end up pushing daisies.
Ok, maybe i'm just being cynical.
But we all have struggles to face in life. Struggles that dictate not only what we do, how we think and feel, but who we are. Persevering in these struggles can either make or break us. The strong carry on while the weak are left behind. Or maybe the successes of the strong invariably lead to the downfall of the weak.
But even in nature, [sooner or later] the tables become turned and what we once knew as our reality now becomes our delusion. The strong inevitably become the weak. What happens to us then? Do we fight to deny an eventuality, or do we just lay down and accept the fact that sooner or later we too will be the stray at the back of the herd? That we too will be defeated in a Darwin-esque mutiny of the mind, body and soul.
We parry and thrust in a feeble attempt at immortality, only to float away in a cloud of agony, on a blanket of ashes, towards skies that are unfamiliar with our names and faces, blind to the struggles and successes [failures] of man.
I'm drowning in a sea of sighs and no one reaches out to take my hand and rescue me....from this wretched mess.
