A member of ASCAP and American Composers' Forum, george edwin smith has spent the last 30 years directing adult and children's choirs, orchestras, bands, as well as teaching guitar and musical theatre production courses at Yuba College, Merced Community College, and at various California high, junior high, and elementary schools and churches. As an adjudicator, he judges more than a dozen events each year.
- Writing his first piece for windband at age 12, Smith set the stage for his
career. He won his first composition contest at age 19, and won his first international prize at age 20.
- His first published Christian song was "I've Got a Road", published by Word Music, Inc. Later Christian songs were published in a collection "Wonderful Savior", by MasterPeace Music Ministries.
- George has a degree in Music Composition from San Jose State University, where he studied under Higo Harada, Tikey Zes, Brent Heisinger, and Alan Strange. Today, he devotes much of his energy writing music for orchestras, bands, and choirs for budget-strapped fellow music directors, and often customizes music for smaller school ensembles.

Sorry about more pics. The dog belongs to my nephew while he was getting back from war. He took her back home with him now. She is a good dog. Barks alot though. I will try and get more pics though i haven't seen her in awhile. Thanks for the comment.
I read this today and thought i would share it.Father, please give me wisdom in knowing when to speak and when to be silent. I want to share your message in the proper way, at the proper time, to the proper people. Give me patience so that I can keep my mouth shut when silence is needed.
