11/4/07 Hi, all. I am terribly excited. A few days ago I learned that my latest book, Living, Breathing Lies placed as a WINNER in the USA Book News Best Book Awards for 2007 in the African American Fiction category. It is not a pulitzer, but it is definitely recognition for a book my previous editor told me to not self publish or take anywhere else. I count this win humbly as a blessing and extend appreciation to those readers who have stuck with me along the way.
Hi. I am a fiction writer with nine titles to my credit. My titles include, Living, Breathing Lies (6/07), If There Be Pain, What's Done in the Dark, Distant Lover, The Honey Well, Promises to Keep and Shades of Jade. With the release of my latest title, Living, Breathing Lies, I am returning to the self-publishing arena. Why? Because my last editor wanted me to write more commercially, which meant more sex and more drama. Believe me, my writings are not exactly virginal, but what I write is more character and issue driven than sex and drama driven. For you readers out there who have read any one of my titles and liked them, you know what I mean. My dear sisters and brothers as the holidays quickly approaches, I encourage you to start supplying your local churches and community food pantries with can goods and food supplies. As you know, many have lost their jobs this year and or looking for jobs. It is our responsibilty as brothers and sisters in Christ to help those that are less fortunate. The bible tells us that it is in giving that we too recieve. Thank you for opening your hearts and minds to be able to share. As many of you already know I love you dearly and are constantly keeping you in my prayers. May God bless and keep you

MyNiceSpace.com In preparation for back to school I decided to take my son to the doctor for his check-ups. First we went to the pediatrician, then we stopped at his favorite restaurant to grab a bite then our next stop was the dentist. After his oral examination the doctor informed us that he had to extract two of my sons baby tooth that were taking too long to fall out. As the doctor explained to us my son drew close to me and gently held my hand. I knew he was nervous so I explained to him that I would be right outside making sure he was ok. That night before bed, I listen to my son as he said his prayers. He thank God for very thing that happened that day even for loosing his teeth. That night the holy spirit reminded me of Isiaha 43. 1-5 God stated that no matter what we go through he is right there with us. He explains that we are honored and precious in his sight. And I think of my son drawing closer to me when he felt fear. And I feel blessed to know that I too have a father that I can drew close to whenever I am afraid or alone. I think of what an awesome God we worship that is alwasys there to hold our hands. Have a great weekend be blessed.
