Robotique & Ward"" The EP is available to download at beatport.comLink to video clips that feature what some of us were trying to do at Res Rocket/Rocket Network "back in the day" - online musical collaboration. [My user name there was 'twinhead'].
Musical history: I started off playing bass in a band whilst still at school (when I should have been revising for exams) and started to create my own music once I could afford the equipment. I played in a few Northampton bands, including Directorix, Seven League Red, Magnolia Siege, (the legendary) A Glurk Trolling and also Venus Fly Trap, with whom I got to tour around Europe.
Composing the orchestrally inspired soundtrack to a video game prompted me to invest in my first PC and it was around this time that I got involved working for Res Rocket/Rocket Network, the original online musical collaborative technology . I was fortunate enough to work with some very talented & creative people, including Tim Bran (Subsonar; formerly of Dreadzone), Sarah Bran,
Jay Griggs,
Girlie, DB Walker, Ben, Koyote, KBanshee and some bloke called Nursers (I'm joking mate!), as well as meet musicians such as Thomas Dolby, Greg Dreadzone, Tim Simenon (Bomb The Bass), Danny Briottet (Renegade Soundwave) and Brinsley Forde (Aswad).
I am currently writing and recording at Studio Gloworld in the heart of the English countryside - keep it rural!.
Just listened to all your tracks again with a critical ear. Definitely all the quality & content needed to make the next step Alex. Need to put your business savvy hat on now. : )
Go for it Alex. Nothing to lose. Also do Beatport, Juno Download etc. May as well cover all the bases you can. Any radio stations playing your sounds? Get as many doing so as you can after the tracks are available online. The timing can be crucial between release date & availability. Ripple effect or tsunami. Sure you know all this Alex so I'm just adding support really. Last but not least, search for new friends on here that are into similar sounds to you. Again, once the tracks are available online.
Speak soon. Waiting for my isp tech help to phone me back as I have a glitch in my mail box features. So maybe tomorrow evening a chat.
