DJ Glynn Tandy
Glynn first had a passion for house music back in 1991, as a regular clubber at the legendary Hacienda club in Manchester, From there he decided to take it one step further, and took to the decks himself. Beginning by DJ’ing at warehouse parties and clubs in the North West of England, Glynn fast gained a reputation for seamless mixing and quality music.
In 1994 Glynn was offered the chance to further his DJ career with a move to the south coast of Spain. Here he played at various clubs and bars throughout the Costa-del-Sol, including the Paladium and O’MarBella, also playing over at the island of Ibiza, and frequent all-night outdoor raves. Here he honed his skills as a class DJ and was ready to move onto the next destination.
The next move came in 1997 when he moved into the relatively untouched dance scene of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Helping to pioneer the Malaysian clubbing scene, Glynn played at such clubs as Nouvo, Backroom, Movement, Elements, Clubhouse, Emporium and Passion. He has played alongside with big name DJ’s such as Roger Sanchez, Jon Carter, Nick Warren, ‘Evil’ Eddie Richards and Paul Oakenfold. After several years of respected performances and various residencies Glynn was then offered a new residency at the number one voted club in Malaysia ‘Twelve SI’ (Atmosphere & Bliss) where he continued to advance the KL dance scene to a now loyal following, playing with world renowned DJ’s like Dimitri from Paris, Bob Sinclair, Roy Davis Jnr, Crico Castelli, Cosmo and Spiller to name just a few. Glynn also played on collaborated nights with Pacha (Ibiza), Respect is Burning (France), Cream (UK), Positiva Records and Miss MoneyPennies (UK),he also struck a chord with Malaysian Royalty, playing a host of Royal functions & private party’s.
He then moved over to the beautiful destination of Bali, where he played at such venues like Spy bar, DeJaVu, Liquid, Space, Paparazzi, Lush lounge,, Fuel, Hu Bar and 66 club where he also played for the the well known Australian event TWO TRIBES. He also held a weekly residency at Ku De Ta and he was able to showcase a wider variety of musical genres, crossing Funk with NuSoul, with down-tempo, chill-out, to soulfull house and nice deep/tech house for the massively popular sunset sessions.
Glynn is a versatile DJ with 18 years experience under his belt and is able to adjust to clubs needs of today, with the ability to play either soulful, and funky house laced with percussive beats, or the more big room sound of techno, tribal, electro, breakbeat and progressive house. Always reading the crowd, leaving them wanting more.
Glynn has now teamed up with DJ Nutek and Blastique to form the production team of Nu-Tandique with there first remix release with The Cut named GIMME HEAD for Vandalisms vicious label in Australia and has been chosen for The Ministry of Sound sessions 5 cd 2008 annual and also stayed in the top 10 aria dance charts for many weeks. With other remixes ready to be released on Vicious plus their own original material 2009 is looking to be a massive year ahead.
Glynn continues to DJ all over South East Asia, Australia, Europe and UK.
