I haven't really got a favourite band at the moment, but continue to listen to a variety of different kinds of music. Past faves however have included Pearl Jam, U2 and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Movies
My favourite films currently include True romance, Pulp fiction,Groundhog day and the Back to the future series. I also like the Spiderman films.
Television
I am a big fan of Buffy, Angel, Friends,Scrubs, Stargate, Heroes and Bones.
Books
I really like the essay books by Professor A.C.Grayling. he teaches and also writes for several of the major broadsheet newspapers on subjects as diverse as history,science and international politics. I have also liked the Chronicles of Narnia and Roald Dahl's childrens books since I was a child myself as well as Anne Rice's vampire novels and yes I may as well admit it I am also waiting for the last Harry Potter book to hit the shelves as I have been reading them for a while. Also recommended A short history of nearly everything by Bill Bryson and Civilisation by Roger Osbourne, Tess of the D'Urburvilles,The Silver Sword by Ian Seraillier, Sophie's world by Jostein Gaarder and the poetry of Wilfred Owen and Siegfried Sassoon.
Heroes
I don't have any heroes as such, although there are people I greatly admire such as teachers,doctors, and the police who do very hard and valuable, but often thankless jobs.

Ah! Fasinating to be conversing with someone from across the pond. From what I understand your country has a much higher free-thinking/Atheistic percentage of the population. Richard Dawkins is one of my favorite writers.
