Success
Without Honor is an Unseasoned Dish; It Will Satisfy Your Hunger, But It Won't
Taste Good.
~Joe Paterno

Have you ever thought about this question...What's the value of your time?
I believe you'd agree with me that it becomes more valuable the
older you get! And the older you get, time seems to move so much
faster.
When I was a kid, it seemed like summers were an eternity.
Not anymore. One minute it's June and the next it's September.
Time has the knack of slipping away!
Reminds me of the song by Pink Floyd..."Time" (ok sorry
the younger group reading this may have no idea what I'm talking about.)
"Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way.
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way."
Powerful lyrics for sure...
This song motivates me. Motivates me to take action for
the things I want for my family, my friends and for myself.
I'm glad I knew about this song in High School!
Are you motivated to get what you want?
Do you want financial success? Do you want to be able to
wake up when you want, go to sleep when you want, and do the things that
you want to, like traveling or playing with your kids?
If you can honestly answer yes to this question then all I can
say is congratulations, it's a great feeling isn't it?
If
your still searching, then you owe it to yourself to learn what I discovered.
But before I get ahead of myself I would like
to tell you my story...
The reason I’m on Myspace is to network and share strategies and
ideas with positive, highly motivated and success driven individuals.
My name is Greg Meares and I grew up in both California and New
Jersey - talk about being confused! LOL.
New Jersey gets a bad rap, I thought it was great and my Dad,
sister, brother and step-mom still live there. I played soccer for my high
school team and did fairly well, which to me was amazing because when I moved to
NJ, I knew nothing about soccer and was actually a hockey player at the time.
I stayed with it and picked up some skills and made All-American my senior year.
This helped me get into college. I was an ok student (some
A's, some B's and the occasional C.) Every time I got a "C" my mom would
threaten me with private school. I believed her but realized as I got
older that these threats would never come to fruition because they really didn't
have the means to pay for something like that.
Because I made the All-American team, I had some choices as to
what school I could go to. I ended up choosing Penn State (notice my quote
at the top.) I went on a full athletic scholarship for soccer.
Side note: I had no idea how lucky I was!
I started off with a bang, but in my sophomore year I was in a
really bad car accident that put me in the hospital for 6 weeks. I think I
broke everything! When I got out of the hospital my high school soccer
coach let me work at his soccer camp and train. I got back into shape and
felt I was able to compete at the Division 1 level again. However, my
college coach was worried I may end up hurting myself even more. So that
was it for soccer at the college level for me.
Good news is that drive and competitiveness carried over to my
life after college and helped me in my professional career. I started as
the low man on the totem poll but through hard work, constant learning and
persistence, I was able to climb the corporate ladder.
I was recruited by a headhunter in 1997 to work for a company in
Texas. Met my wife and we have two awesome daughters.
Funny thing is that the
higher I climbed, the more I questioned if I was on the right ladder.
That questioned was answered for me. Several years ago I
worked for a company that culturally was not a good fit for me. I believe
in honor, loyalty, trust, and recognition. My professional career was void
of that with this company.
One morning, I told my wife that for the past year I had kept my
mouth shut regarding what was happening at this company. But starting
today I was going to earn my money and speak up. Well I did that for about
two months then they eliminated my job, and the jobs of everybody I had hired.
I guess they didn't like the sound of my voice. LOL
From that point on, I decided, I was no longer going to be a
slave for the man! I decide to BE the Man! Kinda like that cell phone
commercial, where the employee reminds the boss that he is the man.
So my goal was to start my own company and live my dreams.
As a result of self-employment, I spent thousands of dollars, had to worry about
employees, closed down a business and was just getting one big, fat
headache.
I discovered residual
income is where it's at!
Creating a Passive and Continual Income
Stream is the Best Way To Achieve Financial Success
But the problem with residual income is that it's hard to find a
company or business that pays this way other than a network marketing company.
I had past experiences with these types of company's that didn't go so well.
If possible I was going to avoid them, if you know what I mean.
Well then a funny thing happened. My business partner
wanted me to look at a business service that we could use to help promote our
company, Blue Sky
Brothers, LLC.
It embraced web 2.0 technology, through streaming video,
collaboration and a whole suite of tools that could work for us. It
happened to be marketed through the very business model that I avoided.
Jerry signed-up and about 3 months later I signed up. My goal at the time
was to have full access to all of these tools.
We utilized the tools to promote our business and later we found
out that in doing so we discovered the best way to build this particular network
marketing business. So what
started as a tool to build a business now had become the business!
Life is stranger than fiction!
What I didn't know at the time was that this business
opportunity promoted itself just by simply using the tools. You'll see
what I mean in just a minute.
But I need to tell you about something that happened to me about
a year or so ago. I was at a seminar and I sat next to this women.
We had to pair up during an exercise and so this stranger shared something that
would have a major impact on my life. She mentioned that I should
watch "The Secret." Have you seen it? If not, you need to.
Anyway to make a long story short... I absolutely believe in
the "Law of Attraction."
By simply putting out to the universe what I wanted and taking
action, I've been able to achieve so many things this past year. The best
part is that anybody can do it. You just have to do it.
Let me bring up a question I asked earlier. Here it is
again...
Do you want financial
success? Do you want to be able to wake up when you want, go
to sleep when you want, and do the things that you want to, like traveling or
playing with your kids?
I know what your thinking...oh boy, here's the hard sell.
