Christian, family man, outdoorsman, technology expert.
By profession, I'm currently an Identity Integration specialist, with over a decade of experience in IT as a Senior Administrator of Lotus Notes and Domino, Server and Desktop Operating Systems, and various other oddities along the way. I enjoy making technology work for people, instead of people working for technology.
By hobby, I'm an avid backpacker and very much enjoy fishing with my kids even though I don't have a clue what I'm doing. By far, I enjoy backpacking the most, and on my life list of backpacking destinations are the Wonderland trail around Mt. Ranier, Eagle Rock loop in Arkansas, and a thru-hike of one of the great American long trails (PCT, CDT or AT). I've picked up bicycling just recently, and since I simply can't go backpacking everyday, I'm finding cycling taking a larger role in my outdoor life. I'm ok with that. :-)
I'm a son, brother, husband and father. Family is very important to me. There's nothing I enjoy more than spending time with my wife and kids. I've taken most of my kids backpacking with me and will take my youngest with me this summer. We enjoy day hikes and observing and experiencing God's creation together.
Along those lines, everything about myself has to be prefixed with Christian. I strive to conduct myself only in ways that bring honor to God. When I was 11 years old, I accepted God's offer of salvation, asked Jesus to forgive me of my sins, and committed the rest of my life to serving, worshipping and honoring Him. This was easily the best decision of my life.
