GOATBAG is a Acid Death Core band out of Salisbury, Maryland. The band is Richard Kahn on guitar, Josh (Country) Wright on drums, Mac McPherson on bass, Josh Pryor on vocals, and Reverend Dr. Nick Scholotchy on vocals/dumb box and keyboard. GOATBAG has been aggressively performing , recording and traveling in the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest music scenes for six years.
---HISTORY--- In late 2003, the five orchestraters of GOATBAG converged on "Wrapped in a Blanket and tossed in the woods". The new EP marked a rebirth in the band and a departure from early experimental recordings. In the months following the release, GOATBAG performed extensively in support of the album. Then by fall, as they had done the year previous, GOATBAG went back into the studios, this time with one thing on their minds. "Business" was proudly released in December 2004. With the release of "Leisure" in early 2006, GOATBAG began a more vicious, and devastating campaign on the Mid-Atlantic metal scene, opening for Soulfly, Decrepit Birth, Vile, Gizmachi, Thine Eyes Bleed, Wednesday 13, and many other established acts. GOATBAG has pummeled over 170 shows.
---SOUND---The sound is composed of many different elements, including aspects of metal, doom, thrash, hardcore, and death metal, while occasionally incorporating jazz and psychedelic influences. GOATBAG utilizes different styles to portray unusual and uneasy feelings in their music and subject matter. Comparable to a murderous acid flashback, GOATBAG will pummel you.
---LIVE--- Every GOATBAG performance is deemed a special occasion, spotlighting brutal riffs , percussion, gut rupturing vocals, and a stage show that is blood soaked and full of energy that remains as unique as it is timeless.
