GOATIKA ARTSOUND is a new experimental project by splendid Russian violin player Artem Yakushenko and GOATIKA CREATIVE LAB's founder Pavel Mikhailuk. On this page you are kindly welcome to enjoy audio and video parts and photos from our live performance at 100 Ruchiev Club, Voronezh, held on June 19th, 2008. The program combined musical and visual art improvisation - "real time” music made up the mood of the artist Alexei Zagorodnykh and vice versa. This creative interaction has been reflected in two paintings, which were sold by auction right after the end of the gig.
Participants of the program: Artem Yakushenko - violin, mandolin, sampling. Aleksey Zagorognykh - oil on canvas. Boris Nazarov - rhythm programming. Vladimir Kachanovski - keyboards. Pavel Mikhailuk - voice, didgeridoo, bass.
South African Corona, whose second album is getting ready to be launched on Solar Tech very soon, and his compatriot Chabunk teamed for a Sunset Safari. As this term implies, it is an beautiful but also an adventurous tour that awaits the listeners. On the contrary of cheesy standard melodies, these varied tracks put the idea of Trance in a nutshell and distinguish themselves by forcing power and deepness. While most of them represent the creativity of South Africa, also material from Brazil, Chile, the UK and Germany is included.

While nowadays it often seems like all the Psy Trance labels either reduce the speed of their releases and turn to more and more body-orientated club sounds or crank up the tempo of their music to rather hectic levels, Solar Tech Records delivers an excellent selection of tunes that keeps the golden mean: With tracks between 142 and 145 BPM the music is powerful, driving and very psychedelic on the one hand but also progressive in the original meaning of the word and does not get stressful or kitschy at any point. For this second compilation label owner DJ Natron extended his network of promising producers from South Africa, Switzerland, UK, Germany and South America and again presents some sparking pearls for original Psychedelic lovers.
