ERODED was formed in December 2004 in order to play dark, sadistic and tormented Death Metal in dedication to the glorious days, when Death Metal was celebrated without any compromise, without happy melodies, triggered drums, clean vocals and shit. ERODED is P. on vocals, guitar and bass and K. on drums. The band’s discography is still short. In early 2005 the “Beneath The Cross” demo tape saw the light of death. This tape contained three songs (plus intro and outro) of pure malicious and totally unpolished Death Metal. Dilettante, untight and rotten like the saviour’s corpse, the demo tape was well received amongst those who prefer to listen to bands such as Asphyx, Autopsy or Grave. The 100 numbered copies of the demo tape sold out within a month. Nearly one year later ERODED teamed up with Sweden’s Death Metal veterans of Paganizer with whom they released the split EP “Chapels Of Blood” through Imperium Productions. Two news songs were offered on this black wax gem, proving that the band has only slightly improved throughout the last couple of months. Nevertheless, the two tracks show an even darker side of the band, based on a perverted sound of darkness and blasphemy. Now it’s May 2007. The drums as well as some guitars for the band’s yet untitled debut album have already been recorded. The remaining guitars, the bass and the vocals will be recorded this month. The album will include 10 tracks of vicious, haunting, eerie and very dark death metal in its purest form. Expect low tuned guitars, straight drums, panzer engine riffs, minimalist melodies and sepulchral vocals from ERODED, Germany’s Duo of Death. No tracks of the demo or the 7inch have been re-recorded for the album, so unless the band’s bank account doesn’t run dry and has to be filled up with royalties of money-making best of releases, these tunes will stay untouched. So, all you prostrators to the throne of darkness, prepare yourself for the abysmal ascent of ERODED.
