About me: In May of this year a group of south coast dj's, party people and music enthusiasts got togeather and took part in a month long event under the name "Go Bang Brighton"
Originally a homage to the glory days of disco (hence the name of the famous Dinosaur L track that inspired the concept) it quickly became clear that not only disco but other forms of music such as boogie, electro-funk, deep house, balearic, funk, soul, broken beat and acid house were all going to shape the parties that lay ahead.
It wasn't all plain sailing though, anyone from Brighton will tell you that away from the cities club venues there's not much in the way of space for music that doesn't pay the bills these days, however we found far flung outposts across the city that welcomed our approach to throwing music focussed social gatherings for like minded folks and subsequently pulled it off.
Basically we got away with throwing parties in basements and bar spaces for a whole month with no advertising budget or press involvement, big name dj's or hype, just basic word of mouth invite old school style did the trick.
Here is the first Why Are We Sleeping? radio mix available for free download. We've mixed together some of our latest finds with some long-time favourites, including James Holden, Shriekback, Silicon Boogie & Bill Nelson into one almighty 30 minute rooster booster!

Just informing you that the Bumper remix of The Heat's "The Celebration" is out now on vinyl (Love Is War Music/ LIWM003).
Roughtrade.com says:
"Next up on the hotter than hot love is music label comes australia's answer to daft punk (or so they say) the heat. they make a big room house sound thats full to the brim with funk. flip it for a killer remix from bumper who turn the funk even higher and turn out the sickest tune we have heard round here for a while."
PS: while you're at it, don't forget to download our remix of Roland Klinkenberg's "On My Mind" (available at Beatport.com and other download stores)...
