Gobi started out 3 years ago. Lots of gigs and a few Demo recordings resulted in a two week session in Blackbox Recording Studio in France with Producer(ex Frames) Dave Odlum.They appeared on a compilation album courtesy of Matchbox Records UK which resulted in lots of interest and an offer from Jetspeed Records in the USA. Gobi's song "Mr B" has been selected for the upcoming GHETTO GROOVE RECORDS sampler.The song "HUMAN REVOLUTION"has been liscensed to "Octobertunes" Canada. The band are very much more assured and confident with their present sound a funky pop style with a country edge.Kats vocal will remind you of Eartha Kitt or Stevie Nicks or how about Nathalie Merchant. Gobi are another step towards being a great Band with great songs..
Gobi are inspired by all types of music,sounds & Artists - Pop,Punk,Rock Funk,Classical,Movie Scores,Country. Gobi are currently an unsigned act.

www.aliasempire.com has recently gone live and on sign up members can download 'AEmix', a 6 track remixes EP, for free. This includes remixes of our own tracks as well as tracks by Messiah J and the Expert and Cars in Walls. Half of the remixes are by us while the rest have been handled by Philth and Seki, Nina Hynes, and Klass of '83. Each track has its own unique artwork included in the download. First lesson in the music business: Nobody wants you!
For some months she persisted and eventually he asked
“Why do you want to sing?”
“It makes me feel good” came her reply
“Right answer” she was on her way, but all would not be roses.
Her debut album was recorded but never released; her label in effect dropped her.
Considering her father owned the label we get an insight into the dark corridors of the music industry…..

With a little time and a lot of persistence Marie Junior has got a second chance, her album is due for release later this year. The first single is a pop classic from the 70’s called “Quick Joey Small” - it’s a jailbreak story and Marie Junior intends to run for her freedom into the arms of success
