Goblin Market first started in 2001, and lately contained of one twisted punk drummer nicknamed Ringo, one gloomy bass player posterboy known as Basik, an angelic cupcake guitar freak named Greg and a female singer who believes she ain't no human: cat-like princess Katla.
After committing two rough, hostile, and hopefully soon forgotten demos: ["Goblin Market - Who Stole the Tarts?" - 2002, "Goblin Market- Goblinitelive" - 2002] and some more polished tasty bits: ["Goblin Market - Hektor Lektor" - 2003 , "Goblin Market - ...and Other Poems" - 2004, "Ama digit" demo - 2006], the band reunited in early 2009, and started rehearsing and composing again.
Goblin music got dynamic and simple, and it evolved towards a bit stonery vibes. Their inspiration was wide, yet music itself sticked to groovy rhythms and captivating melodies.
The band was entitled after a XIX century poem by Christina Rossetti, telling a dark story of life, temptation, curiosity and utter taste for something that is out-of-this-world.
In december 2009 the band decided to split up, or rather, as their music transgressed far beyond the previous goblin style, to change the bands name and go on with a different one. This site is a tribute to almost ten years of Goblin Rock!
