The simple pleasures. History (especially medieval and history of religion); anthropology; and holistic therapies (I practice Reiki), and the esoteric. Politics, maybe it just fuels the me that likes to debate, since I have quite
strong views... Oohh and travel, there's no point in there being a world filled with so many different people and things if we're not up for exploring it. I like art, painting but I don't do enough of it... still waiting for my easle.
Music
Really a little bit of everything, and specific people to entertain specific moods... I love Alanis Morissette, but her earler music cause the newer stuff is way too happy... she stopped hating men and the world. Corinne Bailey Rae. Goo Goo Dolls (a favourite). Giorgia. Joss Stone. Smile Empty Soul. Three Days Grace. SR71. ohh and sixties music fits in there somewhere too, as does the Grease soundtrack and Aretha Franklin. My Chemical Romance, The Killers, The Fray, Fall Out Boy etc etc
Movies
Romantic Comedies do it for me... The Notebook, Crazy/Beautiful, Chicago, Girl/Interrupted, Gia, A Walk to Remember, Top Gun, Fried Green Tomatoes, Edward Scissorhands, Finding Neverland.
Television
I'm an Isidingo junkie... OC, Prison Break, Heroes, Desperate Housewives.
Books
The books that the world calls immoral are books that show the world its own shame. I love poetry, especially writing it, a form of catharsis that can process the darker thoughts. Loved Roald Dahl when I was young... Joanne Harris, Dan Brown - and yes I have read more than just the Da Vinci Code, The Bridges of Madison County, Noughts and Crosses, Like Water for Chocolate.
Heroes
"Every saint has a past and every sinner has a future." - Oscar Wilde. "No single individual can assume the role of hero." - Nelson Mandela.

About me: I'm studying Psychology (and Anthropology, and Politics). I'm stubborn and oppinionated, and have a bad habit of being brutally honest (some would call me rude - a bitch at times). On the bright side though, I am quite loving and tend to be one of the people who would do anything for someone they love - I seriously can't help it. I love singing (though mostly I spare people the pain of hearing me), I love the rain *winkwink* thunderstorms in particular, and I really love the stars (there's nothing better than lying on a blanket under the stars on a cool evening). I am an active volunteer for AFS since being a returnee exchange student. Oh, and did I mention sarcasm... I like photographs, black and white ones, especially the ones that make you wonder... poetry...
Who I'd like to meet: Interesting people... People who can relate...
