The largest internal organ in my body in my body was removed and replaced with a liver that, was born, raised and nurtured in someone else's body. Liver Transplant Recipient January 27, 2002 - London Health Sciences Centre, which is one of Canada's finest Organ Transplant hospitals.

A school teachers comments about my appearence at #3 sons grade nine graduatation created another area of concern for me. (Social Acceptance) Me having Hepatitis "C" was now effecting my family.
Hepatitis "C" At Work Eating My Body - Boxing Day 2001. In May 2001, I was told that my liver might last a year. On November 26th 2001, I was accepted onto the liver transplant list at Health Sciences Centre in London Ontario, which is one of Canada’s finest Organ Transplant hospitals. I was told that I was the #125 person on the waiting list and it would be 18 months before I could expect a liver transplant. On January 23rd 2002, I was #123 on the transplant list and on January 25th I was #1 on the list and I received a liver transplant on January 27th..... A Liver Biopsy in December 2002 revealed Hepatitis "C" active in my new Liver and I was referred to the Section of Hepatology at the Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre for treatmnet. Conditioning for upcoming Hepatitis "C" Treatment -43 degrees below - February 2003
Weight Conditioning (100lbs x 150 reps) February 2003
Pegetron Treatment was Recommended by the Section of Hepatology to treat my Hepatitis "C" - February 2003
Coaching again, me and #2 son. April 2003 – a month before starting the Pegetron treatment.
Started a 48 week Pegetron Treatment Program on May 2nd, 2003. My physical and mental condition was excellent at the time. 48 weeks is a Marathon Treatment Period and I trained hard leading up to the first injection.
A negative reaction to the Pegetron treatment Crushed my immune system in 13 weeks, leaving me with pneumonia in both lungs & massive blood clot in my right leg - July 2003

A Skin Biopsy on my Nose revealed Basal Cell Carcinoma (Skin Cancer)in February 2004. Likely caused by Immunosuppressant Medications. It was surgically removed in June 2004.
Number #3 Sons Grade 12 Graduation June 2004 – God helped me win a tough fight against the Devil who was using drugs (Crystal Methamphetamine) to tighten his grip on my son. Fighting the Devil – is the 11th chapter in God & Me and Hepatitis “C”. It’s a gripping battle between father and son, and I believe it will benefit every parent who has a child. Part of this chapter is written by my #3 son and you’ll have the opportunity to read his side of the story.
Jesus healed every disease and weakness. He came so we could enjoy life in abundance…..how true….how true it is! Golfing - June 2006.
Diagnosed with Bell's Palsy which Paralyzed the right side of my Face on August 8th, 2006. Also I had an emergency (Massive) Small Bowel Operation (5ft of Small Intestine removed) on August 22nd, 2006. Likely caused by a Blood Clot in my Portal Vein. I was on the ice coaching a Junior Men's Hockey Team 6 weeks later.
A Skin Biopsy revealed Basal Cell Carcinoma (Skin Cancer) on my Nose in April 2006 and it was Surgically Removed at the Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre January 2nd, 2007
5th Year Liver Transplant Anniversary - January 27th, 2007 - Coaching Hockey - Pregame Picture with #4 Son
Every day I thank God for His mercy and the miracles He gave me. I ask Him to bless my liver donor and my liver donor’s family, and all the people who donated blood that helped save my life. I thank them from the bottom of my heart. Me with #3 and 4 sons - March 24th 2007. Whether we win the game or lose, it doesn’t matter. God made me a winner. I’m healthy and I’m with my family.
