About me:
A Message From Evelyn Braxton
I had a dream I was walking along a beach. When I turned to view my foot printed path, I noticed another set of footsteps walking beside me. Even though I could not physically see my company, I was glad to know I wasn't walking alone. A decade ago, I went through a devastating divorce after 35 years of marriage. One would think I would be able to endure any and everything after that.
My greatest mistake was that I loved him more than I loved myself. Those past ten years were torture, but yet, I somehow got through it, and the pain that enveloped me for nearly a decade, also allowed me to heal and strengthen myself mentally and emotionally. I had no idea where to turn or who to lean on. The painful years flew by before I realized how my own life was passing me by. I shook myself and decided that it was time to begin healing.
As my heart started mending, friends would call me - or strangers would sometimes stop me in stores and out of the blue would share their stories with me, and ask for guidance. At that very moment, I knew that God had a greater purpose for my life. I had to open myself up to others and assist them through their pain and broken hearts. So many men and women from different walks of life need healing and guidance, but do not know how to deal with life’s curves and circumstances. Don't be ashamed or afraid to heal because through it all, 'GOD CAN HEAL THE HEART'.
