    I am the ears of Bruised Fruit Promotions, a Belfast based music promotions agency. I write software by day to pay the bills and listen to demos at nights. I love: New (creative) bands, martial arts (mainly aikido but I've done a couple), London NISC, real ale, proper sausages, playing the keys and guitar, composing, producing, DJ-ing, compiler technology, genetic algorithms, heuristics, UFC. ..

  • Music

    What I listen to varies daily so I can't tell you what I'm into here. Just know: Nine records out of ten John Peel played were only just OK, but you listened to the show for that tenth tune that blew your world apart. Then you listened to the other nine later, and realised how much John Peel knew about music. I am a second set of ears for Bruised Fruit's svengalis. I book bands for small gigs (mainly) in Belfast I DJ.     We've made a minor change to how gigs are added to the site, the
    lineup section is now a single text area instead of individual text
    boxes for each act, a small change but it makes adding gigs a lot
    quicker cause you can copy and paste the lineup from elsewhere :)

    Don't forget you can now submit all your news stories for inclusion
    on the front page of the site, any dance/electronic music related news in Ireland will be considered.

    You are invited to the Psychedelic Circus Festival on 23rd May 2009 in Laverys!
    The show kicks off with an all ages gig (young and not so young welcome!) in Laverys Bunker at 2pm with In the name of, Bandwagon, and Tapasia.
    You will also receive free goodies and band merchandise and all for only a fiver!

    At 7pm we will dazzle and entertain you with a drum circle featuring fire poi for free...

    The Bunker will open again at 7:30pm for more live bands in the shape of, In the name of, Tapasia, Electric Circus and Rainbow Corner all for a fiver with free entry to the Psychedelic circus in Laverys Attic from 10pm

    If you missed the previous events you will be able to pay in at 10pm for a fiver for the spectacular Psychedelic Circus in the attic featuring Black Sookie, Jack Change It and Sage... Also featuring circus entertainment and poi dancers rounding off the night with another drum circle!

    So if this sounds like good craic to you... Make your way down to Laverys on Saturday 23rd May!!!
