Books
My two favorite books of all time are 'Pride and Prejudice' and 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' series, especially 'So Long and Thanks For All the Fish.' I also like some Dean Koontz books like 'Lightening' and 'Watchers.' A book I look through a lot is my 'Norton's Anthology of Literature by Women.' As for poetry, well, I love Emily Dickenson, EAP, and a few Charles Baudelaire poems. One book that cracks me up is 'Letters From a Nut' by Ted L. Nancy (possible by Jerry Seinfeld)
About me: I love dancing, traveling, anything to do with horses, interesting conversation, board games, nature & the outdoors and my 3 fur kids Nala a.k.a Punkie, Little Man a.k.a. Weenie, and Lucy a.k.a Goose.) I am white and curious about my Scottish ancestry. I also have some German and English mixed in there, but they didn't wear kilts, so no deal! I am not a Latina, but I love Latin culture; especially Mexican. I dance Cumbia, Merengue, Punta, Bachata and Rock en Español.
As for the realm of politics, I am independent but lean towards the left, and on some issues, way left. I am very sensitive, passionate, sometimes lively and sometimes moody. If I won the lottery tomorrow, I'd probably buy a ranch and rescue horses, bunnies and Pitbulls. But I never play the lottery, so I'll have to find another way to accomplish those goals. Speaking of goals, some things I'd like to do are: scuba dive, sky dive, drive a race car, travel around the world, have a family, and learn more dances like Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, Cha Cha, and Tango.

Who I'd like to meet: I’d like to make some new friends and/or dance pals. I like well rounded people with a strong sense of self and the ability to connect (not just converse) with others. Good social skills a must! Wit and intelligence are important, but they will only get you so far. Some great qualities I like in others include: thoughtful, kind, good listener, wise, insightful, creative, willing, open minded, compassionate, intelligent, unguarded, adventurous, and the ability to see yourself as others see you and willing to improve yourself/grow.
One of the most important qualities I look for in friends is ability to be silly and laugh at yourself. Maybe it's just me, but I don't tend to thrive around people who take themselves too seriously or have an overly cynical outlook on life. I try to be tolerant and accepting of other people's ways/views, but I do not tolerate racism, sexism, elitism or any of the other destructive isms.
