..OMG, I have "Songs From Black Mountain", "Death of a Dictionary", and outtakes including "Deeper", "Born Branded", "Photograph", "Susquehanna", and "Lift Me Up"!!! I SO LOVE YOU EDDIEK AND THE BOYS! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU, AND GODDESS BLESS!!! I dig Classic Rock (Aerosmith!) and Acid Rock (ZEP!), 80's Pop and Hard Rock (ALL of it!), Folk (INDIGO GIRLS!!!), Blues (Johnny Lang!)...and above and beyond all, Ed Kowalczyk's 'LIVE', who make my heart and spirit happy and my body soar. I avoid country and gangsta rap for the most part (I think I only really appreciate the more underground political Hip Hop that recalls the old Public Enemy days; I like my music to SAY something)...and I tolerate the more hypnotic and trancey techno for brief periods. And I have just discovered something called 'Nerdcore', aka 'Geeksta Rap'...which seems right up my alley. 'Fried Green Tomatoes', 'Last of the Mohicans', 'The Wicker Man' (original only, please!!!), 'The Prince of Tides', 'The Abyss' (director's cut only, please!),'LadyHawke', 'The Secret of Roan Inish', 'Monty Python & The Search For The Holy Grail', 'Highlander 1', "The Dark Crystal" (Aughra is the Crone Goddess, baby!), "What Dreams May Come" (a truly wonderful movie that says a lot about our hell-stories. y'all should give it a look...or a second look!), "The X-Files: Fight the Future", anything ever made with Michael Rosenbaum in it(especially "Sweet November" and "Sorority Boys", though the former I only watch for his parts and skip the rest, LOL)...and a million more magickal movies. Recently added to the top ten: "Wall*E", baby!!! UPLIFTING!

Above, beyond, and before all, now, then, and forever it's 'The X-FILES', BABY!!! And I miss the REAL General Hospital; the one of Luke and Laura, Sonny and Brenda, Robin and Stone, Lucky (played by Jonathan Jackson!) and Liz, et al. But that ended in about '96 or '97, so I'll mourn and move on. But I also dig 'Trek' TOS, recently gave TNG a try, 'Xena', 'Highlander', and have recently gotten into 'Smallville' up to about S3 or so when Clark and Lex fell out, 'Mad About You', 'the Nanny', 'Lois and Clark: the New Adventures of Superman', 'Beauty and the Beast', 'ThunderCats', the 'Smurfs'...just about anything from the 80's...and a few select moments from the 90's. The '00's being the years of so-called 'reality TV' and our glorious leader...still not so sure about our current decade. I'll watch 'I Love the 80's' over and over again, tho...and 'the History of Area 51' (hehe), and 'Haunting Evidence'...which is like XF, Sightings, and Unsolved Mysteries all rolled into one...

'The Nag Hammadi Library' (tome of recovered gnostic gospels), and lately just about anything related to it (ie 'Holy Blood, Holy Grail', etc), 'the Lord of the Rings' (FOREVER!!! duh!), 'Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe', by Fannie Flagg (best lesbian Love Story ever written!); a ton of Anne McCaffery, the 'Outlander' series by Diana Gabaldon, the Tamuli trilogy by Eddings, the Wheel of Time Saga by Robert Jordan (*weeping copiously over his loss...and the loss of the end of the story*), and a million more books inspire and enthrall me; but then just about any great story can do that, especially if it ties in with my college research topics or beliefs; or challenges them. Oh, and the perennial wisdom of the greatest post-modern philosophy of our day: "Calvin and Hobbes". Oh, and of course there is My Own Novel, which may someday be published, if we all live long enough and the world doesn't get blown up by stupid people before I finish it. I'll keep you posted. If I ever figure out how to embed it, I'll even put the pic of their main symbol on here.

Oh, and then there's Michael Rosenbaum for being AMAZING in what he will do in a role without the slightest bit of concern, JRR Tolkien, the Goddess, Aradia, Buddha, Jesus, Mr. Bill (my grampa)...and my mother, who deserves to be the Queen of the world and is more long-suffering than any aescetic. .. About all you need to know about my fangirlish ways, you can get from the following video of me flailing myself half to death in the throes of sheer geeky dorkery over finally meeting Michael Rosenbaum (best known as Lex from Smallville).
Note: i come in about halfway through, with very blonde hair, wearing a blue Superman shirt with a white and red sign on my back that says, "I'm just here for the 'Baum! (for he is The SEXY!)"...and squealing, "Oh my god ohmygodomyGOD!" a lot.

There's one struck off my 'Who I'd like to meet' list! And last year i didn't exactly MEET my spiritual idol, EddieK of LIVE, but i did dance onstage with him to my fave ever song AND met the rest of the band (the man himself was already abed with a sore throat, poor luv)...so this has been a helluva 12 months for meeting the folks listed in the next box!!!

Someone with whom to share my life, dreams, future...On myspace; Disciples of EddieK/LIVE, and the Master of Tongues (JRR Tolkien), people from or who have been to Zimbabwe/Southern Africa, people with similar interests to mine in the Olympia area/the Northwest; such as Drum Circling, Queer and Human Rights, Environmental Activism, Third World Debt Relief, Wicca/Paganism and alternative Spiritualities...all that neo-stuff. I'm new here and need to find some people to love and depend on and be supportive of and generally network with, LOL.

update: I MET Michael Rosenbaum!!! 3/1/08, for my b-day!!! And, well...I didn't pass out; but i did make myself quite scary during all the Rosensexy overload!!! (see video in the About Me section, LOL) But he is Teh Sexy after all, so I really must be forgiven for losing my mind so thoroughly.
I also met the rest of LIVE (sadly, sans EddieK) the last time i saw them in concert, in Victoria BC. Next time i'll be SURE to meet HIM. THANKS forever to the dude who gave me his 2nd meet n greet pass...and the awesome chick who gave me a ride 3/4 of the way back to the ferry station!
One of my inspirations has met another. LOVE this! If EddieK says Obama's awesome, I buy it. Not that i wasn't alread sold, but this is cool.
