Del Toro formed in Brisbane in late 2004. In our time together we have played with a bunch of awesome rock acts, such as: Dinosaur Jr, Built to Spill, Brant Bjork and the Bros, RATATAT, Trans Am, Partyline, Regurgitator, Sekiden, Intercooler, Ponyloaf, Violent Soho, Mary Trembles, Van Lustbader, Scul Hazzards, Rational Academy, Turnpike, Eat Laser Scumbag!, Anonymeye, Bloon, Seaplane, I Heart Hiroshima, Vegas Kings, Butcher Birds, The White Mansions, Little Lovers, The Whats, City City City, Jump 2 Light Speed, Group Seizure. We also played SOOBiesta and 4ZZZ Market Day.
"Formicae", the 5-track sophomore CD from Del Toro, was released in October 2006 on Valve Records. It was recorded and mixed by Magoo and Jeff Lovejoy at Blackbox studios. You can buy it from good records stores or download it from the iTunes store.
Our DEBUT ALBUM, a psychedelic, aquatically inspired longplayer recorded and mixed by Casey Rice (Tortoise, Veruca Salt, Dirty Three) is OUT NOW on Valve Records. It's called "Hydra."
