PLEASE WATCH OUR VIDEO FOR A TASTER OF THE NEW RECORDINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These other songs are OLD demos from 1993 and 1995.........................................................................................................................................................................................................................
Godless Truth formed in 1991 following the demise of Perpetual Infestation. As Perpetual we released one demo recorded on a four track called "DEAD" this contained 2 songs Dead and Buried alive, both songs were very much in the vein of typical death metal and highly infulenced by early Autopsy/ Sepultura. I then wrote a song called "sing out the prophets" and didn't like it at it's original speed so slowed it down and Godless Truth was born. At this stage there was only myself (Rik) and Critch in the band as we couldn't get hold of any decent musicians willing to play this type of music, so I played all the instruments leaving Critch to concentrait on lyrics and screeming his lungs out!
Many four track rehearsal demo's later concluded in a semi-professional recording for the "Visions of the end" demo recorded in 1993. This was recorded in one day at SPLASH studio's in WIGAN(UK) and was never finished, some guitar parts were missing and there was feed back on some of the existing guitar tracks due to time we had to leave it! We had the intention of returning to complete/fix the recording and bought the master tape but the studio upgraded its equipment and so that put a stop to that. We managed to hire a couple of great musisians to help us out on this demo -Karl Price on drums (who knows were he is now??) and Jon Ashton on keyboards (little gem!). As well as the master tape, we left the studio with a 1/4 inch tape that Critch managed to erase the first few seconds of when he tried to do us all a copy later on at his house. Hence that demo was put out only half recorded, with feed back and an interesting "fade in intro!!!!" the songs were "Sing out the phrophets" and "Visions of the end"
We never entered a "real" studio again, Instead I bought my own and up until 1999 had been recording ideas for Godless Truth which due to Critch living the other side of the country to me never saw the light of day.(most of these recordings dont have vocals as I can't do a convincing death growl!!!) However Critch moved back up north recently and has convinced me to re-record all the Godless Truth songs and get a decent demo out there for your listening pleasure (I hope!!!) so watch this space, Godless Truth (uk) will rise from the ashes and release a good amount of old school doom death for you to weep to, hopefully by the end of 2007!Thanks for reading! P.S Critch came up with the name Godless Truth and did a great logo for the band. Future releases will have to be under a different name due to the fact that another (good) band now exists with that name!
JUNE 2007 Godless Truth change their name to AUSTERYMN.
