I AM A CHRISTIAN
When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin." I'm whispering "I was lost," Now I'm found and forgiven.
When I say..."I am a Christian" I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need CHRIST to be my guide.
When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need HIS strength to carry on.
When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.
When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not claiming to be perfect, My flaws are far too visible but, God believes I am worth it.
When I say.. "I am a Christian" I still feel the sting of pain, I have my share of heartaches to I call upon His name.
When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not holier than thou, I'm just a simple sinner who received God's good grace, somehow.

About me: My name is Tamara. I’m proud to call myself a child of God and have known the love of my life and Man of my dreams for 8 years now (24th December). I am currently a theology student and am loving everything I’m learning, although its difficult and challenging at times, the more I learn the more I grow stronger in my faith.
My main passions and driving forces in my life are God, family and friends. The Lord has shown me that relationship with Him is the best gift I can give to Him and relationships with others are God’s best gift to me.
Some of my favourite things to do in my spare time include witnessing my faith, reading, writing poetry, drawing, painting, browsing artwork, playing guitar, writing, doing jigsaw puzzles, logic puzzles, listening to music, developing my theology, reading my Bible and hanging out with my friends!
I’d say that a ‘theme’ song that fit and shape my life is Jimmy Eat World’s ‘The Middle’
because the lyrics boldly declare the need for you to be yourself and not somebody else. I relate this to my faith because I know that God made you to be you not Joe Blow down the road. Seek and embrace your God-given identity, live it and be the person you were made to be.
I don’t drink or smoke or going nightclubbing or partying. I never have and I never will. I believe Christians are called to live a higher standard of living because if we don’t – how then are we different to the world? I am also very serious about my relationships and have committed that area of my life to the Lord. I view courting as an engagement to be engaged and therefore I’m waiting for the one God made for me to be with. Although this may sound very ‘religious’ I’m not into religion, I’m into relationship with God through His Spirit and Jesus. I choose to live the way I do not because I want to follow the law or earn my salvation, but because I WANT to make God happy – I freely CHOOSE to live this way as a result of my love for Him because He loves me.
I am no longer a slave nor am I a victim, no I am a conqueror, a free person because of the blood of Jesus which payed my debt and set me free! Jesus has broken the chains which forever dragged me down and strangled me… He has set my foot upon a rock and I AM NOT ASHAMED to declare my love, gratitude and devotion to Him! I am a new creation now and am not ashamed to say so! God is my Savior, best friend, Husband, Father, my all in all, if it weren’t for Him and His grace (showing His love for me through Chris and Caroyln) I wouldn’t be who I am today, in fact I wouldn’t even be here today…so I’m forever grateful to the Lord for all He’s done and will do for me.
My ultimate life-goal is to be the best person I can be so I can better glorify God and to be the person God made me to be – so I can make my Heavenly Daddy proud! I believe two dominant spiritual gifts God has blessed me with are teaching and evangelism and I can’t wait to use these gifts to their full potential! I’ve just got to wait and be patient for the Lord to open the doors… I’d love to be a spiritual Steve Irwin – a spiritual conservationist whose passion is winning people to the Lord!
I collect various items such as music magazines, artwork and cd’s. I collect all genres of music because most songs have a meaning, and I like to interpret it and adopt the point of view behind the song. I view music as a form of artwork – its unique to each person and can be interpreted completely different to another person. I used to write songs to express my feelings as I wasn’t good at communicating them verbally so music is a deep and personal issue to me.
I actually do enjoy playing some sports, but I dislike it when people get so critical and put others down because they made a mistake. I play sport for fun and will openly declare I’m no sporting hotshot but I do enjoy playing some sports. The sports I enjoy playing include golf, beach volleyball, footsal, touch football, tennis and indoor cricket.
I’d say three words that best describe me are _______,_________ and ________. I’ll leave it up to those who know me to decide for themselves what they think about me!
So in conclusion, I AM TAM!!! I’m a proud child of God, a princess the daughter of the highest King. God is the love of my life. I adore Chris and Carolyn, you two are my heroes and my inspiration to be a better person and Christian. I like music hence therefore I am GOD’S LITTLE ROCKER!!!! How do you know your sin is forgiven?
The debt has been paid by Jesus (Romans). As long as you repent (turn away/ in opposite direction) of your sin and you desire with all your heart to love and serve God – your sins are definitely forgiven.
Please understand though, you cannot earn God’s grace by good works but because God is working in you – good works will be produced through you by God (good works are evidence of God working in your life).
You are a fundamentalist. You take the Bible as the foundation of your faith and read it very literally, and it shapes your worldview. Non-fundamentalist Christians have watered-down the Gospel in your view, and academic study of the Bible stops us from 'taking God at his word.'
