The GODS OF GAMBLE came out in 1999 from an idea of Alessandro and Fabrizio Rizzu (guitars) and Giacomo Bonomo (drums) with the aim of making some R'n'R in Cagliari. This lineup also includes Fabio Farigu (bass), but he leaves at the second rehearsal… Davide Ragazzo joins the band and with Giampi Guttuso (vocals) they begin to play in a studio… Soon after two concerts, Davide Ragazzo quits the band and it's Andrea Manca's turn. After a short time Giacomo Bonomo also leaves the band… at the end of a succession of different drummers, here there is the 'heavy metal' Giorgio Del Rio. With this lineup - Giampi Guttuso vocals, Rizzu's brothers guitars, Andrea Manca bass guitar, Giorgio Del Rio drums - the Gods of Gamble make ten concerts: among them as support band of Jon Spencer's Blues Explosions and the Burnin' Heads. Their repertoire (all covers) sweeps from Dead Boys, to Heartbreakers, Social Distortions and so on… of course they don't forget Ramones …and others. Giorgio Del Rio is too 'metal' for the project of the band, so he is discharged on the spot… he is replaced after an unceasing wooing by Guido Farigu… Well, the sad rite of dropping is not yet finished and also 'AndreaMancabass' goes away… he leaves to Northen Italy looking for luck… and here he is Fabio Farigu who appears again to have his legitimate place as bass player, so the Gods of Gamble have now this new lineup: Giampi vocals, Rizzu's brothers guitars, and Farigu's brothers at the rythmic section, they begin a new concerts season, among them in particular as supporting band to the New Bomb Turks. The GoG are preparing a lot of original works and tape a live promo with 2 of their songs (life is and my sins) and take part with to other new songs to a compilation of the W'uck Records. In August 2004, they go to a recording studio to tape their first record. After the taping Guido leaves the band to dedicate himself completely to his new job as a father (welcome Marta!). After a lot of audition, Angelo Collu, current drummer of the band, replaces him. The title of the record is 'Play with u$$' and it will be issued to the end of June 2005 (W'uck Rec.).
