Cancer casts an overwhelming shadow over all of our lives. Whether it's a family member, neighbor, co-worker or friend, we have all been affected by this tragic disease. Lyrics for Life is a vehicle for us to turn that pain around and focus on healing and surviving. Each of the members of the Platinum band Sister Hazel have been affected by Cancer. Lyrics for Life was their answer to doing something about it. What began as a memorial by Sister Hazel front-man Ken Block for his younger brother Jeffrey and others dear to the band has become an industry-wide commitment to the fight against Cancer. Lyrics for Life is a non-profit organization that unites musicians and celebrities for a series of concerts and auctions. These events raise awareness of serious illnesses such as Cancer in childrenand adults, fund researchers working to find a cure and enrich the lives of patients and their families.
