This track has lots of great surprises in the mix that keep the interest up. The feel of the sound is comfortable and you can relax to this artist’s work but there are some interesting contrasts between the parts of the song. They also mixed in some vocals, fairly spacey effect, slaps a distorted guitar track and the texture of the song has a rich dimension.
Part of the enjoyment of tracks like this is that the musicians are so good and playing together so tight and smooth. They complement each other and the individual styles come together easily. The more closely you listen to how they play the more you can appreciate what is happening under the surface.
The production is obviously excellent, clear and easy to hear. Good choice of tones and matching frequencies range. The sounds blend together and the result is very cool indeed.
The track is also an interesting blend of a reggae beat with jazz and eventually rock elements. The artist writes in his blog that he is also in a metal band with his best friend. The interesting mix of genres is evident in this track. The melody is good and the motion in the rhythm is fun. The arrangement is another good feature. The song starts with an easy feel to it and picks up gradually until the runs are quick. After its peak it ends with a soft landing.
This should have wide appeal for people who like something to relax to, myself I could imagine it easily on a sunny day at the beach. Nice job guys, very solid piece of work.

This tune is smooth as silk, as we’ve come to expect from Go For 2. I can’t help but think of the golden era of the 60’s when folk music blossomed into its own unique blend. The acoustic instruments make the tune easy to enjoy, cool to the ears. The stereo backup vocals add interest.
There’s some philosophy in the lyrics, a search for the truth with some messages, that again, resonated with the new youthful thinking of the 60’s. Some wisdom and common sense prevail in the ideas.
The whole piece blends and gels together with no loose edges or misplaced items. All the instruments have a place in the mix that complements the others. The spotlight and the attention can be easily focused on the whole sound, the song is easy to digest and absorb. Cool subtle tones accent soft vocals and a quiet, thoughtful vibe. It all makes perfect sense.
You can tell these guys have a control over the music, even without hearing their other tunes you can know they are accomplished. This is one where they chose the parts with the whole of the song in mind, no flash or pop. They played the way the song was meant to be.

Zwischen 1979 und '85 hat das Gitarrenduo "Olli & Günni" sich aufeinander eingespielt. Einige Songs und überwiegend Improvisationen, die sich der Stimmung anglichen auf Akustik- und E-Gitarren wurden oft - und gern - auf Parties, am Strand und in einigen kleinen Clubs präsentiert. Mit 2 Tonbandgeräten - ja, sowas benutzte man noch in den 70er - 80ern - sowie einem Drumcomputer und Bass wurden die ersten Sachen gestartet, die nach "Band" klangen. Dann kamen Hochzeit und die jeweilige Bindung an die Partnerin. Olli und Günni gingen getrennte Wege...
Die Lebensumstände (beide ließen sich 2004 scheiden) führten das Duo wieder zusammen. Die alte Freundschaft lebte wieder auf und der musikalische Spirit war immer noch da - als wäre gerade eine Woche vergangen (und nicht 20 Jahre!)... Jeder der beiden hat sich auf verschiedene Art und Weise musikalisch weiterentwickelt. Neue Strömungen und die sich weiterentwickelnde Technik verlockte die beiden, genau da anzusetzen wo sie aufgehört haben. Dank harddisk-recording, virtueller Studiotechnik am PC, Samples und VST-plug-ins war's den beiden möglich, das jetzt umzusetzen, was in den frühen 80ern mit Hausmitteln noch nicht so gut (weil teuer) funktioniert hat: live einzuspielen was geht (Gitarre, Bass, Gesang), der Rest kam vom Sampler bzw wurde mit VST-plug-ins produziert.
