Goghst is an ongoing experimental music project. Started in the spring of 2007, the idea was to make music, or something like music, without any real knowledge of instruments. I started out with various drum machine programs, discovered Audacity, and then I bought keyboards and started experimenting with other various sounds. Most recently I have discovered a program called hotstepper which most of my third album was made with. It's great for sampling, panning, delay and other exciting things. I keep expanding my ideas of music and what music can be made from. I have had several tracks ready for release but I am not happy with them all yet. I want this one to be different, to be noticeable, hell, I want it to be listenable. Slowly this one is building, brewing, growing... I want it to be a definition of what I have been trying to do all along. Granted, now I have a deeper understanding of production and beat building and overall composition of song, but I am continuing to challenge that, and it's making this next album more difficult to finish. Some new songs are up so you can hear for yourself where this is headed. The new album will be called Jawgobster, as I promised my friend Matt it would be called when he accidentally invented the word. You can download and listen to my releases from This Plague of Dreaming netlabel below, or you can wait for the next evolution of this project. I will no longer be offering downloads of all the independent stuff from 2007-08, but I may make a compilation of my favorite early recordings.
