Going to the West Fest's Blurbs
About me:
www.goingtothewestfest.com

Pembrokeshire Old Time festival, 'Going to the West Fest', is the brain-child of two Pembrokeshire-based old time enthusiasts, Jackie and Jo. It will be West Wales' first ever Old Time American dance music festival, bringing to west Wales bands and artists that otherwise would not visit this region. It will take place JUNE 13-15TH 2008 in the village of Angle, right on the end of the south Pembrokeshire peninsula.

Angle has a great village hall that is just the perfect size with a lovely wooden floor for dancing! Just round the corner is the camp site, and down the road there is a static caravan site if anyone doesn't fancy camping... this is also right next to the beach. Down the road in the other direction is Freshwater West beach, renowned for its complex and mature sand dunes and its excellent surfing!
Who I'd like to meet:
Anyone with an interest in old time music and dance, and anyone who's interested in the festival! People who like to dance, sing and play music til sunrise.

hey jacqui and jo, i'm very sad to say I'm missing your fezzie, I have totally messed up my calendar and am back home (belfast) that weekend. Gutted. I know it'll be a blast and I'll have to cover my ears when I get back so I can block out all the stories from the rest of the gang. take care.

ah yes, my skin. been on the sunbeds too long. it is one of the downsides of living in scouseland that there are £1 for an hour sunbed shops on every corner. we are a leathery city. i didn't realise u guys were in fishguard that wk end until we got back! well not that it would've made any difference in my state of incapacity! stupid girl.
(me) you not going to coastline?xx

Hey Jo

Nice one, thanks for the comment. Yes, Fishguard Folk Festival was good, saw some great artists and made good contacts.

I missed someone on Sunday but watched Sild as compensation and booked them for Tenby, very nice people.

I shall be down for yours, sounds like a lot of fun. Speak soon.

Attention all Celtic Blue Rock fans!!!!!

Are you going this year?
Are you thinking of going this year?

If you could ask them any question right now what would it be???

WELL Supergenes' very own Danny will be asking PAUL THE HAT of CELTIC BLUE ROCK and GWALA PROMOTIONS/PHOTOGRAPHY any questions sent into us by you guys as part of our new idea to bring the South West Wales music community closer together. All the answers to your questions will then be put in the next blog on our profile.

So, what was that question you were thinking of again???

Send it to us!!! And we'll pass it onto them!!!

To give us your questions simply reply us a mail or comment from this message, reply to a bulletin or the related blog in our profile. All those questions in by Tuesday 15th April will be asked to him in our interview, after which a blog will be posted on our profile with all his replies.

Looking forward to your questions.

Danny and Supergene xXx

Oh it's a great tune, isn't it? I think most people do it more sedately in E, but I learnt it from my dad humming it to me in a noisy pub... folk process, eh?
