I have officiated high school football and basketball for over 17 years. Can't tell you how many basketball courts and football fields I have run up and down on. Not to mention how many softball games I played for 20 years at a very high competitive level. I once had a trophy case that one with a ego would be proud of, but when I lost my ego, I gave my trophies away.
An avid bike rider and former runner.
I love to read, appreciate nature and beautiful scenery, and good conversation with different types of people.
Nauseated by the malls and consumerism. Have gone somewhat green, not into sucking on the oil companies nipples anymore.
I take pride in the art of survival. I have dodged the bullet many times...sometimes literally. I love the outdoors. I am passionate about life, Vietnam taught me to live everyday like its my last. Just trying to live by my spirit now.
Have parachuted, and would like to skydive. Anyone interested?
Love movies, walks in the park and the city, and going to concerts.
Music
Country rock, jazz, smooth jazz, rock, 70's, 80's, and 90's...pretty much anything...like old soul music over the newer stuff....blues is ok.....opra....probably not....rap...unless its jazzy and has clean lyrics.
Movies
Epic movies are my favorite, adventure, shootem up, drama, and suspense.
Television
No Television, which is fine with me, but when I had one, CSI Junkie....only...and a little news. Sports, or Cable News....History Channel, but really not into watching alot anymore, would rather be outdoors having fun.
Books
The secret, and eastern philosophyHe has written about 25 books. Self improvement and autobiographies, not into fiction. Am into real life.....don't need to escape. Also have been reading the Secret. Great read.
Heroes
My father who is no longer with us.
Jimmy Carter, Nelson Mandela, Roberto Clemente, George Carver, Audey Murphy.
About me: I moved to Dallas,Texas from Oregon where I had grown up and lived most of my life. Feeling completely liberated leaving the town that I grew up in, and my previous life. There were just to many memories there that kept me from going forward in life.
I have decided to leave the so called western style of living philosophy behind me and have found more of a feng shue/tao eastern philosophy style of life which suits my spirit.
I have to pinch myself when I come into Dallas on the lightrail with the skyline on the horizon, it all seems so surreal. The people...the weather...the lifesytle is so astonishing different than from Oregon.
Everyday is now a true adventure.
Seeing the sights and things I have never seen before, I believe that the events that transpired in my life are now acceptible for a the first time in my life.
Losing everything I had at one time, to find myself, and to realize that what I deemed important at one time seems insignificant now.
Its been quite the ride since I returned from Viet Nam in 1971...the world has we called it is quite a trip, I am so thankful that god didn't call my number while I was there.
Who I'd like to meet: If I was to meet A woman, she would be non materialistic, self reliant, confident, but yet humble.
One who likes to experience the finer things in life, but dosen't have to need them all the time.
One who can live simply, who just wants to smell the roses, and share her time with a man who will give her the freedom to be herself.
I am not into the jealous, nor the clingy type. Nor the typical stereotype A-woman who wants to know how much I make or what I drive and what I can do for her financially.
Prefer younger women than myself, because of their energy that they bring to the table. Someone who is still active.

What's going on? Hope your monday is going good...or just going lolol. In the spirit of monday I thought to tell you a funny blonde joke to make you laugh and hopefully it'll make your day go by faster!!
I'm going ice fishing! A blonde who got a fishing rod for her birthday decided to go ice fishing to make good use of her gift. Early the next morning, she got all her gear together and headed out to the ice.
When she reached her final destination, she cut a large hole in the ice and dipped the rod in. Then suddenly she heard a voice that said: "There are no fish in there".
So she moves to another spot and cuts another hole, but then the same voice spoke again and told her there were no fish in there.
So she moves again, and the voice tells her there are no fish in there. So she looks up and sees an irritated man staring down at her.
"How do you know there are no fish there?" asks the blonde.
So the man cooly says "Well first of all, this is a hockey rink, and second of all, you're going to have to pay for those holes." rofl!!!!!!!!!!
