Reverend Billy And The Church of Stop Shopping
One man is afraid of our increasingly aggressive pursuit of globalization. One man has had enough of huge corporations stamping on little people. One man has decided to take a stand against everything he thinks is wrong in the world. Who is this man? His name is Reverend Billy, and together with his devoted followers in the Church of Stop Shopping he has waged a war on consumerism and globalization. This documentary follows Billy as he performs a series of shopping interventions in New York City, effectively stopping trade in a number of high profile outlets so he can deliver his sermons on why places such as Starbucks (which appears to be Billy's most common target) are morally reprehensible. Entertaining and educational, this film is a wonderful way to find out what this inimitable figure is all about.

The Menzingers - A Lesson In The Abuse Of Information Technology

Guff’s new record “Symphony of Voices,” was produced by Charlie Paulson of Goldfinger and Noah Shain (Orson).
“Symphony of Voices” is Guff but better. It still has their fun-loving spirit, but with a newfound immediacy not heard on earlier releases.
And check this out: while Guff was in the studio, Steve Perry, the legendary lead singer of Journey, walked in to visit a friend. He was so impressed with Guff that he showed up unannounced two days later and asked Guff to cover an unreleased Journey song. Steve not only produced the song “I Can See It In Your Eyes” but also sang on it! The track has already been played nationwide on Joe Benson’s syndicated “Off The Record” radio show and additionally on XM Satellite Radio.
Guff will be on the road non-stop once “Symphony Of Voices” is released. They will play on this year’s Warped Tour, open for Goldfinger this fall, and headline shows anywhere and everywhere. So make sure you do not miss them.
