I am a bar/nightclub/live music venue/house of debauchery based on Prince Regent Street, Stockton-on-Tees in the North East of England.
Since i was born I have taken a liking to having the best up and coming live bands grace my stage, live highlights of the past have included Arctic Monkeys,The Enemy, Reverend and The Makers, Nine Black Alps, those devil beasts Black Wire, The Reasearch, our friends from Hull, The Paddingtons...
and ooo so many more that i cant remember cos so many drinks got spilled on me i was a bit tipsy!!
i am happiest when my two rooms are full of friendly people dancing to the best music in Stockton.
i like indie, new-wave, punk, rock and roll, northern soul, ska, funk, mod sounds, brit pop and that sort of thing...
when i have this music inside me the crowd i attract is a good one, like a happy family!
i keep my door charges down and my drinks offers too because i like to look after my family. sometimes when i invite live acts to come and play from far away it might cost more to get in, not much more and theres always a bit of discount with advance tickets or if you get a special flyer! its important to me to get my regulars looked after when we have a big night on so i do my best!
on a friday SHINE:LIKE:STARS takes place established back in 2003, live action indie night, its a right carry on! some people call it the 100 club of the north east and some call it the biggest little indie night in the world, it gets quite hectic.
With dj's doing their thing in the live room playing the best new music. i also have a bar room where i have my foundations rocked with the best of music pre 2000 by a couple of likely lads who go by the name of ben and gidge.
on Fridays usually i like to open my doors at 930pm the door charge is dead low like £3/£4/£5 over duration of the night, get down ealrier the cheaper it is and thats with 2 rooms of dj's and live music alright eh?.
when i have a bigger band on a charge will apply all night... but my tasty drink offers stay the same, mmmmmmm!
i like to stay open until 3am in the morning, im a bit of a night owl and open my front doors at 9pm, so im alright if youre just nipping in for a quick drink or going the full whack!
behind my bar as well as the lovely staff theres all the booze youd expect at niiice prices, out of all of these drinks i decided some of them should be cheaper than the rest....

Who I'd like to meet: all my regular patrons and anyone like them,
AFTER RIVERSIDE PART 1/ events will run a bit later than usual to allow folks to get over from the amazing line up at this years STOCKTON RIVERSIDE FESTIVAL- friday night see's THE CHARLATANS headline and sure to be crazy through out the town and as usual ku will throw some massive parties over the festival weekend!!
LIVE ONSTAGE THE PADDINGTONS Formed in Hull in 2002, The Paddingtons smashed their way onto the music scene with their infectious blend of raw anthemic punk/pop, taking no prisoners as they fast established themselves as the darlings of the London 'Inide' scene exploding at that time.
Fast forward 7 years, 4 top 40 singles, a critically acclaimed debut album 'First Comes First', sold out tours all over the world and an army of devoted fans later, the band were in love with being a band but were left disillusioned with the industry itself, with the fat cats drinking all the milk and leaving none for the runts of the litter. It left them wanting something more. So, armed with their instruments, experience and knowledge of the industry and a burning desire to continue to make music, they decided to go it alone and created an independent record label, 'Mama-Bear Records' from which they released their long awaited second album, 'No Mundane Options' in late 2008. They are readying a new E.P and double A side single/duet with singer-songwriter Adam Green, festival appreances across the Europe plus a full nationwide tour to support the single in Autumn, 2009 is looking just as promising for these bright eyed boys from Hull
