Goldcure based out of Austin TX is characterized as a blend of indie-jagged rock n' roll with a hint of...as some Snarksters would say "A desperate idiotic attempt at making it big".
So With the help of producer Steven Doster and much financial support, Goldcure released thier self titled album, Portuguese Prince in 2006 under their Label Sorin Records. Soon after Team Clermont came on board to help chart The album at 4 on the commercial specialty charts, and 122 on the CMJ. Later that fall the band began a consistent touring schedule and in the summer of 2009 Goldcure released an EP, Pretty Polly Horrorshow, which was also received with similar radio success charting in the top ten on specialty radio.
In 2009 the Austin Statesmen recognized Goldcure as one of Austin's top new artist, along with their album Portuguese Prince making a top ten appearance.
Currently the band is working on their next Record and continues to use dirty words as Cool, Hip and The Beatles which makes it even harder for them to find their place through this swamp of bohemian zombies and pop celebrities. Hmmm
