JAMES KILBANE'S talent as a singer together with his stage presence is testimony of his quiet but powerfully captivating persona.
There is genuine warmth about James’ ability that touches people who come in contact with him and his work. Coming from a small rural fishing community James has become a polished and highly respected performer whether singing Gospel, Country or his native Irish music.
James first came to prominence in “You're A Star”, the Irish version of American Idol, Pop Idol or X Factor. Thousands of entrants from Ireland, America and United Kingdom entered. After months of hard work and hectic television performances, James with his unique and incredible voice went all the way to the final!
Today, James continues to be very busy, writing, producing and touring at home and abroad with his main music focus on the promotion of Gospel music. In 2008 saw James with Gold Eagle Music releasing three very popular albums, 'Heart to Heart', 'Songs of Ireland' and 'The Christmas Collection'. James is currently promoting his latest work 'The Christmas Collection' just on release. The Christmas album with a country style features many classic Christmas carols as 'When A Child Is Born', 'Away In A Manger' and 'Mary's Boy Child'. This new release also includes some great new songs from James' Nashville trips as well his co-wrote original titled 'One Holy Night'. You can check out 'One Holy Night' on video and downloads on this site. Other special 2008 releases were James' Country Gospel album, ‘Heart To Heart’ that features many favourites as 'Amazing Grace' and 'Why Me Lord?' as well as some new material including a new anthem for Mary's House or Meryem Ana Evi in Turkey, titled 'Mary's House, Our Lady of Ephesus.
Back in 2004 James' debut album of Country was released titled ‘King of the Road’. This was followed with his first traditional Praise and Worship album titled 'Close to You, Hymns of Praise' and the Christmas single 'The Miracle of the Rosary'. In 2006 James released the beautifully Gospel album 'Divine Love' and in 2007 saw the release of James' country Gospel album 'Life's Miracle' that returned Kilbane to his country sounding roots. In 'Life's Miracle', 'Heart to Heart' and 'The Christmas Collection' we hear the fruits of James' international traveling, his dedication and hard work in writing and sourcing new songs direct from America and Nashville for his Irish and international audience.
