About me:
My name is Blanche Hollingsworth Devereaux, I am a native of Atlanta; admired for my devastating beauty and illustrious charm (some would say I'm a bit of a firecracker, well, most that is). After a brief stint of working as a Rockette I married George Devereaux whom with I had four children: Matthew, Rebecca, George Jr. and Janet. After a long swirl of events, my husband passing away and moving to Miami I lucked into meeting the three best friends a girl could ask for: Dorothy Petrillo Zbornack Hollingsworth, Sophia Spirelli Petrillo-Weinstock, and Rose Lindstrom Nylund. After a bit of hesitation from meeting in a grocery store, the girls moved into my home and we've been best friends ever since. Let me tell you a little about my girls:
Dorothy is a native of Brooklyn who married her husband Stan Zbornack while still in high school. They had two children Michael and Kate. She worked as a substitute teacher and currently happily married to a Mr Lucas Hollingsworth, and yes we are related (he's my uncle) and I was the one who introduced the two love-birds.
Sophia is a native of Sicily. She grew up poor but happy. (Because I wasn't there) she was the most beautiful girl in her village. She married a Mr Salvatore Petrillo, with which she had three children: Dorothy, Gloria and Phil. She and Savatore lived in Brooklyn working in the pizza and knish business until his death when she moved to Miami.
Rose is the dim-witted native of St Olaf Minnesota. She was granted the title of the town's dumbest virgin until she married Charlie Nylund. She and Charlie had three daughters: Kirsten, Janella and Bridget. She eventually moved to Miami and enjoyed such titles as an associate producer for "Wake up Miami" and St. Olaf Woman of the year award. Her father was a monk from St Olaf and her mother was a cook at the monastery. She did not meet her father until one fateful evening while working as a receptionist at the Miami hospital he happend to show up during her shift.
