Hailing from Norway, goldenboy’s songs and style are irresistible. These guys rock like nobody’s business. Between a singer who can really hold a note, guitars that blow your ears off, pounding melodic bass player and balls-to-the-walls drum rolls, goldenboy is ready to take over the scene.
“healing is a team effort” is album no. 2 from the norwegian partypunkpowerpoppers. The album was recorded in Duper Studio in their hometown Bergen and produced and mixed by goldenboy’s very own guitarhero Jostein and goldenboy, except for their new single “pros & cons”, which was mixed by Thom Flowers (Bad Astronaut, Lagwagon, Ataris, Sugarcult ++). The album was mastered in the Blasting Room by Jason Livermore and is expected to be released march/april 07. "healing is a team effort" is released on the dutch label squash records, and an extended version will be available in china this summer, through october party records.
goldenboy’s debut album “right kind of wrong” was produced by Perry Leenhouts and Vincent Koreman of Travoltas. This 10 song album is the definite antithesis to the current new-metal/post hardcore/screaming emo-sound that dominates the scene nowadays. “right kind of wrong” is raw energy, great production and hook-filled songwriting. That’s it. That’s that.
goldenboy is and has always been a LIVE band. Since the start in late’99, the band has been touring the US four times and Europe four times, in addition to a bunch of shows all over their home country, Norway. “healing is a team effort” will be the beginning of a fresh & new round for goldenboy. The band has already planned round number five of US-touring, another Euro-tour and shows all over Norway this spring/summer. goldenboy’s live shows, are sweaty, catchy, loud, energetic, tight and always, with no exceptions, delivered with 100% belief in their ability to rock the house.
