Thursday 31st July 2008 RESISTOR RECORDS Presents edIT (planet mu, the glitch mob) The Hare and Hounds Kings Heath Birmingham
A night of hyper intricate hip hop 9-1am £3!!!!
Hailing from Los Angeles, Edward Ma has had a profound effect on the musical terrain of the city, especially in the realms of hip-hop. His own desires to see what the next levels of technology in the genre were manifested in the 2004 album 'crying over pros for no reason' album for PLANET MU. Aside from albums a slew of remixes hit for the likes of DAEDALUS and PLUG RESEARCH. edIT garnered a lot of fame through his mash-ups of Top 40 radio jams by ridiculously cutting up a cappellas with hyper-glitch edits over original and popular hip-hop beats. The popularity of his mash-ups also led to a full-length mixtape commissioned by HEFTY RECORDS. With a new single out dropping remixes from J-DILLA, PHAT KAT & DABRYE, the bombs keep dropping.
'A love of hip-hop and a desire to create what I hear to be hip-hop in the future. A fusion of complex cutup edits and rhythms mixed with catchy aggressive dancefloor hip-hop… We are just trying to make the music that we want to hear because no one else has made it for us.'
What's up my brother? It's been a while. Good to see Golden Dice kickin'. Here's some info on my latest. Take care.
New ep out on Interdimensional Transmissions.
Available now on 12" black vinyl, limited green vinyl and digital download.
Rubadub Review:
"Politically charged electro from Miami producer Alpha 606, this is pretty wicked shit. The man is fusing the percussive Latin influence from 80's Miami Bass (Conga's etc) with the futuristic glitch-werk of say, early Schematic records. Proper Miami shit that manages to be booty shaking and chin stroking at the same time. Tip!"
Electro greetz,

Just informing you that the Bumper remix of The Heat's "The Celebration" is out now on vinyl (Love Is War Music/ LIWM003).
Roughtrade.com:
"Next up on the hotter than hot love is music label comes australia's answer to daft punk (or so they say) the heat. they make a big room house sound thats full to the brim with funk. flip it for a killer remix from bumper who turn the funk even higher and turn out the sickest tune we have heard round here for a while."
PS: while you're at it, don't forget to download our remix of Roland Klinkenberg's "On My Mind" (available at Beatport.com and other download stores)...
