With new acts constantly hitting the DJ scene, in under two years DJ/Production duo, GOLDEN GLOVES, have hit the scene and they have hit it hard. After this short period, both members have shared the stage with some of the biggest artists, such as The Bloody Beetroots, MSTRKRFT, Boys Noize, A-Trak, Felix Cartal, L.A. Riots, Bird Peterson, AutoErotique, Congorock, Boy 8-Bit, and Teenage Bad Girl…to name a few.
Seeing them perform is always exciting, as you’ll never know what to expect. Their mix of House, Electro, Progressive, and Dubstep combined with animated enthusiasm and showmanship creates a memorable experience each night they take the stage. Starting off in the University circuit in Ontario, GOLDEN GLOVES have made a name for themselves in some of the most popular clubs in Canada, including Circa, Strangelove, and The Social in Toronto, Le Medley and Telus Theater in Montreal, as well as Mansion and Up on Carling in London, Ontario.
Benny Bumpdatsh*t has an extensive background in music production and is full of energy on stage. With his knowledge in music growing every day, each newly released GOLDEN GLOVES track shows steps towards effortless production with a fresh and vibrant sound.
The other ‘glove,’ Cowiebunga, has a deep passion for music, which is shown through his knowledge of the industry and his keen sense of up and coming musical trends. His technical skills and creative mixes shine on stage and act to balance the dynamic duo.
When they are not on stage, GOLDEN GLOVES are busy in the studio working on both originals and remixes such as the popular releases “Pick up the Slack” and their remix of Major Lazer’s “Hold The Line”, which have received much praise from blogs and DJ’s both locally and internationally. Their remix of Barletta's "Panther" is being released on Intellegenix as part of a six-track remix album. Their productions spans across different genres of electronic music and takes inspiration from an array of sources. They have collaborated with local heavy-hitters such as Barletta, Gingy, John Roman, and The Technopagans, with more to come. Their greatly anticipated EP is said to be released by the fall of 2009, and there is no doubt that it will be a knockout.

After Kommander Keens first outstanding release on Giana-Brotherz-
Recordings, which was high ranked in the Breakbeat and Nu Disco
sale-charts and also played by lots of DJs around the world, like Greg
Kozo (Make the Girl Dance) or Kissy Sell Out on BBC 1 radio, it's now
the time for the next strong output. „Long time ago” is an
extraordinary electro-track with a pumping beat and a deep bassline,
that blows your mind. „Nu-Rave” in best „Old-Rave” -style! „RAWR!” is a
breakbeatlike dancefloor smasher that kicks you with a huge sawtooth
bassline!
dude, just gave a proper listen to barletta's remix of your track: sounds beautiful. I'm back in montreal and probably going to kill myself due to it sucking so much compared to new york so sends me some stems or something.
