apologies for the lack of input to myspace recently... in response to comments regarding what night it's on, please check out the big new 'headline', hope that helps... there were previously numerous references to tuesday evenings throughout the page content, but humble apologies all the same if these weren't obvious enough! i will still be monitoring this site but not on a very regular basis, so any important or timely queries are best put directly to the pub... the number's in the phonebook if you need it!!! cheers for your continued support people, hope to see you all down there whenever you can make it...

Little Hero	Nov 14 2008 2:03 PM Tonight (14/11/08) will see a solo LITTLE HERO show at the County Bar, Lancaster Uni supporting SHE NEVER SLEEPS and SUPER HOT ROBOT. i'll be on around 9 i would think. Thursday 20th November sees a rare LITTLE HERO BAND show with Ben McCabe and Rich Turner. We're on last so probably around 11pm. Also on the bill are UNCLE JEFF, ORPHANS and BENNI BEARD.

Fresh from recording their latest album 'Taraba', the new line up of LAVA will be taking to the stage at the Gregson Centre, Lancaster, at 10.30pm, Saturday September 15th 2007. It's a late night danceadelic session with all the usual trimmings, from crazy looping to sonic eruptions all weaved together with lashings of hot guitar. LAVA are: Howard Haigh: Spanish Guitar, Harmonica, Hats Guy Morris: Steel Guitar, vox, melodica, cleptomaniacism Dave Shooter: Bass, illegal medieval weaponry Xtof Lheureux: Percusssssion, wild tabletop dancing. Think The Clash, Morrissey, Billy Bragg and any other great socio - politically inspired music with the heart and soul to match. They’ve had the thumbs up from Steve Lamacq and have supported The Pigeon Detectives. www.myspace.com/pushbikearmy Beat the Radar (Manchester/Lancaster) – Melodic Alternative / post-punk. Recently reformed with a new singer (yours truly) and a whole new set of songs. This will be our 2nd gig. Influences; Sonic Youth, Broken Social Scene, The Smiths, Placebo. www.myspace.com/beattheradar Arkaic (Lancaster) – Formerly called Smoking Kills, this is their 1st gig back, after a revamp. Great live band. Influenced by Queens of the Stone Age, Ramones, Iggy and the Stooges. Expect music in between bands from the likes of LCD Soundsystem, The Go Team, The Stone Roses, Modest Mouse etc.

(i sang a couple of times but it went totally tits up and because it was my first time in front of an audience (the 6 jack daniels made me do it!) my nerves got the better of me! would love to start coming down again, is open mic night still thursdays or has it changed? if someone could post what day it is, it would be awesome. thanks, Hannah x

THIS IS LLOYD	Mar 27 2007 9:44 PM why 'this is lloyd'? well my full name is thomas lloyd james. tom james is too close to tom jones, i didnt like tom on its own, james has already been doen so that left me with lloyd. i didnt like that on its own either and it didnt lend itself to the prospect others being involved (which is something i'm working on now) so i added 'this is...' as a stop gap. it just stuck and now i'm kind of fond of it. and there, my fellow muso, is the full and rather dull explanation!
