GOLDENPYRE were created in January 1997, by five members, two of which are still in the band (Tiago - guitar and Ricardo - drums).
In December 1998 the band released its debut demo-tape “apocryphal” but just a few months later vocalist Filipe Castro and former guitarist Gil Cruz left the band for personal reasons. Two suitable replacements were found in Fred (vocals) and later Paulo Basílio (guitar).
Some live appearances later (including shows with Marduk and Angelcorpse), in September 2001 GOLDENPYRE were back again, with a fresh new line-up and release: "necroTERRORism". Unfortunately, after some shows with Behemoth and Wormed during October 2001, Paulo and Fred left the band... a month later Ricardo Coutinho (guitar) joined GOLDENPYRE and Fred returned to the vocals.
While all the details for the release of "decrepidemic" by Exorcize Music were being arranged, the band recorded 4 new tracks to be included in a 4 way split CD "Portuguese Assault" with friends Holocausto Canibal, Necrose and Neoplasmah... the recordings took place once again in Grave Studios with Pedro Alves but the release was cancelled due to various problems.
Time again for some more shows with bands like Behemoth, Diabolic, Destroyer 666 and many others... and at the end of 2003 the band releases "decrepidemic" on Portuguese label Exorcize Music, a devastating debut including 7 desecrating tracks plus 7 live video recordings and multimedia section.
Many things happened to the band after that release, from really bad to really good... shows all around Portugal and abroad with famous acts like Suffocation, Nile, Akercocke, Scarve, Aborted, Mortal Decay, Severe Torture, Brutus, Beheaded, Birdflesh, Neuraxis, Pandemia, etc… 2 small european tours with friends Necrose around Poland, Spain, Germany, France, Czech Republic, Belgium, Holland… and many shows in Spain / Portugal with Grog, Pitch Black, Decayed, The Ransack.
By January 2007 the "Atrocities" 5 way split CD was released on australian Life Fluid Productions [www.lifefluid.com] with the 4 tracks recorded/mixed around 2004… the other bands on that split CD are: Devoured (indonesia), Among The Decayed (usa), Terrordrome (greece) and Digging Up (indonesia).
GOLDENPYRE is currently mixing the new album "In Eminent Disgrace" that will have 8 tracks and will be released by the end of 2007!! Stay tuned...

Um gajo nem sabe bem o que dizer. . Só fica a olhar feito parvo a tentar compreender as merdas. E isso de tentar compreender as cenas dá conosco em doido. Não se consegue perceber . . . de todo !
Mas, por mais duro que seja, temos que aceitar e aprender a viver com isso. Não foi uma pessoa com quem falei muito, aliás, não me lembro de ter falado, mas estas cenas custam sempre, porque afinal de contas, somos todos humanos. E dentro da nossa cena, também somos todos irmãos. Por isso, queria deixar uma palavra de grande força tanto a vocês como à família. A vida continua. Não é preciso esquecê-lo. É só preciso dignificá-lo. Lembrar com saudade o quanto foi importante a sua passagem por aqui e pela nossa vida. Chorar, se necessário. Mas nunca ir abaixo. Ele próprio não quereria isso.
Mais uma vez, não falei com ele, mas não sei porquê . . Achei que deveria dizer qualquer coisa.
