About GOLDFINCH

2005 pat morkel, christopher woellmer und holger pasch started their musical experiment. combining bass guitar, drums, guitar and sequencer-controlled electronic sounds & samples to create a hypnotising space of sound. After intensive sound fiddling the trio realised that a voice was amiss. The unanimous decision that a female singer could beautify the band..s sound most effectively led into the search for a voice that fits. Finally nina asseng showed up at the rehearsal room in february 2006 and unexceptionally extemporized on all existing songs. From then on the formation was complete and the band got its name "Goldfinch"!
Enriched by the clear, characteristic and playful splendid singing of Nina Asseng, GOLDFINCH generates a sound from trip hop, indie-pop and psychedelic melancholic structures. On stage the band unites these elements through joyful playing to a keen intensity and appears as an extraordinary berlin act! check us out !!!!!! B PEACEFUL! die goldfinken... l !
