Goldstein Spurs on My Boots (Independent 2007) reviews:
“A poised and adventurous debut. Entertaining, sharply biting and exuberant.” MusicSA.
“No matter where you live you are bound to find something in this interesting release you’ll relate to.”
db magazine.
Out to Sea (Independent - June 2008) reviews:
“An instant classic. Gutsy. Heartfelt. Tuneful. Ostentatiously Oz in sound. This is my new favourite Australian band” Peter Goers, Sunday Mail.
“I love Goldstein’s songs - and I love the fact they sing them in unselfconscious Australian accents. In a world of inconsequential, humourless songs delivered in pseudo-septic accents, Goldstein is like a gully wind at the end of a stiflingly hot day.” John Schumann (Redgum).
"A strong release from a confident group of performers and a very talented songwriter" Patrick Lang, db magazine.
“Such engaging stories, a strong band and great voice, Goldstein has created a fine album.” Music SA.

Goldstein’s unique style, instrumentation and lyrics have it sitting firmly in the folk music storytelling tradition. The songs are about events and reflections on growing up and living in Australia. The music has been likened to icon Australian bands such Redgum with John Schumann paying the ultimate tribute:
